Thank you all. Another thing that blows me away about that movie is its historical accuracy. Like the guy in the beginning blowing up the metal obstacles. Those guys went up there with no guns, just a box of dynamite!! The best thing (well not if you were there), was when the radio man called the ships for artillary support, and the ships aimed bad and were acctually firing on thier own men! Sad but true. I'm kind of glad they came out with this game because it is so realistic. I will be fun to play it but I hope no one forgets that this really happened. Damn, technology rocks!!!

The explosions on the beach were from the German Artillery farther inland.

Yes some were, but some were from US battleships in the channel. Thats another reason why Omaha was such a blood bath compared to the other beaches, the ship's gunners aimed too short. On the other beaches, the gunners were able to knock out most of the Atlanic wall fortifications.

hmm didn't know that but thanks for the info.

Of course your gonna be by yourself, you are highly trained and dont want a bunch of rookie recruits giving away your location, haha, that'd be cool if you could send them in one direction to take all the fire and then flank the Axis squad.
