The semi-auto thompson looks like shyte though with the longer barrel and whatnot.Though it would be cool to own the 1928 model with the forward pistol grip and drum magazine. I'd wanna own Bren gun most of all though since it was hailed as the best LMG design of ww2. |
Which one was the Bren?

Never liked the look of it myself, the barrel at the front looks like an afterthought like they decided to extend it by welding another piece onto it. eek: |

I prefer the american and german weapons mostly. |

i got the competition grade or match grade or something like that..whichever is the best, plus the engraving it added up to about $2500.
|
so you paid $1400 more dollars for your sub MOA rifle to be extra sub MOA ?
Are you going to be shooting in national match competitions with this rifle ? sounds like a fine gun. AOBTC |

why are you so offensive towards peeps. You must be picked on in real life and feel the need to strike back here. you are sir..... a sad individual.
innox = dork |
yeah...
Anyways, I just wanted to get the best type of gun I could, who knows, if I'm good enough maybe I will go into some competitions. |
I reccomend that you pick up a couple of these for plinking with as these rounds come allready in garand clips.

It is pretty obvious to prefer the best, what can I say? And you know the expression as well as I do. Calling a gun sexy hardly compares to your confused, fetish driven, butt pirate of a roommate. It doesnt even compare to having a roomy like that. |

I would like to know all about the Klobb, the gun in Goldeneye.

Right, since than gun is fictional I can't help you too much. It did look alot like the Czech Samopal 62 "Skorpion" though. |
I wanna know about Han Solo's blaster or Chewie's crossbow.
They're just as real as that Klobb. |

I like the tommy. It is a solid, proven gun. Heavy? Yes, but so what? They made shoulder straps for them and many people also said the vietmenese were too small to carry AK47s. I also like the M1. I would love to have one and some day I will. The STG was the most revolutionary gun of the war. Made a bit on the cheap side, but the design and performance was solid. The colt 1911. Bad to the bone, even today. I wouldnt mind adding one of those to my collection. Bolt action rifles? Whatever. The bren? That top loader is just plain ugly. The mp40 would be a nice gun to own. The grease gun? OK, but basically a cheap stamped version of the tommy. The BAR would be cool. I have always been a bit of a browning fan. The russian stuff? Not really interested, their greatest weapons were the weather and the shear volumn of people they could throw at you. And so on...... I prefer the american and german stuff mostly. |

the PPSH-41 had twice the range of the various 9mm SMGs and it was more reliable. (sort of like the P-90 compared with modern 9mm SMGs, same principle smaller round, longer barrel) Ever hear of the T-34 series? R. Lee Ermey himself said they were probably teh best all-round tank of WWII, and you don't talk back to the Gunny biggrin: |

Now about the Bren.... Most people underestimate the combat effectivness of the firearm in question. Ugly, maybe but to me all guns are ugly unless they design one to look like a pair of nice tits. Anywho the Bren was based on the Czech ZB26. The Bren was alot better than the BAR in alot of ways: 1). It had a 30 round box magazine 2). It's mechanical components were simple and easily understood. 3). It was reliable 4). Fired at a higher muzzle velocity which meant it was more accurate 5). The .303 SAA ball round was alot more powerful 6). The barrel can be easily changed in the field I think the Bren stood the test of time, the British did make them up until the mid 60's and rechambered them in the 7.62 NATO round. Britan, Canada, France, India, China, Australia, New Zealand and alot of other countries adopted the Bren into sevice. Japan made a few arms that used the mechanics of the Bren. |

What you say may be true, but it doesnt make mine wrong. The russians didnt win the winter war because of the ppsh-41 or the t-34. It was the scorched earth, endless bodies and a very nasty winter. |

Yes, it is based off the Skorpion. It was named the Klobb after Ken Lobb, a Nintendo employee. |

Actually during the Finnish Winter War the T-34 and PPSH-41 didn't even exist. |
