I bet most of the teens here on this forum will have differant opinions on this matter later on in life. But looking at many opinions on this forum makes me feel that the voting age should have been kept at 21. You dont have to accept homosexuality, but you dont have to accept black people either. What kind of shit is that though? "Hey I dont accept you but I will tolerate you living next door to me." Thats bullshit. These are people who are getting flak because they are attracted to another gender. There are a bunch of reasons to hate and despise another, why pick this one? If you dont accept someone, then I dont really think you are capable of tolerating them. Ive been in a situation where a gay man has asked me out and I certainly didnt do the 'guy' thing by being a bitch about it and feeling all insecure and punching him. You have to be a total pussy if you feel threatened or angered by someone asking you out. All you have to do is say that you arent gay, end of situation. Coleman, Im Catholic too, but I dont see how anyone in this day and age can blindly follow the bullshit given to me in church. You can believe what you want, but part of being a decent human being is to accept the fact that there are differant people in the world who have differant values and beliefs.

If some guy who everyone thought was straight, made a move on you, would you tell everyone he was gay?

I'd be a bit weirded out at first if it was someone I knew really well. I wouldn't tell anyone if he didn't want it known. He'd come out of the closet when he thought it was the right time.

ffs, if you aren't gay, a gay guy is not going to hit on you!!... they have a knack at identifying thier own... not always, but for the most part... I doubt that will happen with Pope John Paul II. In the Bible it has stuff against sodomy and men loving other men in sexual manners. They'd basically have to say that it is OK in the bible for the church to teach it.

To the orthodox Catholic, that wouldn't make any sense because it is telling the person that it alright to sin.

But as for tolerating a gay person, I'll be totally honest with you all. I'm not sure what the Church's standpoint is when it comes down to living with homosexuals. They have taught not to become one and that it is wrong, but I have never heard what to do (in the Catholic tradition) when it comes to living with homosexuals. That's when my own morals have come in to play. I know 5 homosexuals that I can think of at the top of my head. I am not friends with them for their interests are totally different. If they said hi to me, it's not like I'm going to spit in their faces and call them fags, no no. I'd be polite to them as they were to me.
