For a movie that was supposed to "educate" about the diamond trade and the exploitation of Africa's children. . .it took EVERY oppurtunity to turn in a cliched "action adventure" over RELEVANT social commentary. I havent seen it, but just because it wasnt a dry fucking docudrama doesnt make it "shameful"

I heard it was a mixed bag - looked great, but mostly fluff. Probably if another creator other than Coppola had been behind the camera, it would've faired better critically. Ill have to check it out.

i'm a huge coppola fan. a lot of people have begun to hate her stylings, which are at their highest extreme yet in ma, but i've always appreciated the way she works. i think some people just get tired and bored of the way things move a bit on the slow side with minimal dialogue. it's something to check out.l

nacho libre was subtle funny, napoleon dynamite type humour.

i was hoping for more story than violence with 300. i didn't realize it was going to be a bloodfest with a bunch of strapping men walking around nearly naked.

"Talladega Nights" is the best comedic movie released recently, it's hard not to laugh during that film unless you don't have any humor in you. sleeping:

until you remember what it's like to actually watch a movie that's at a decent quality

thats true, but for someone like me who can't decide what movie to watch at any time, the amount of decent movies they have is incredible. It's like have a movie store on your computer, for free.

is this movie anything like that simpson's episode of a decade ago (where bart basically does the same thing with flanders) or like any other of those TV episodes? The premise seems so overused, that I can't imagine the movie being all that interesting.
