If you've ever been in a fight (and I suspect you haven't), you would know the object is to win.

In the instance of the video, its not about who's tough and who's the pussy. Its about who is breaking the law and who is upholding the law.

Like I said, I worked in DC for 5 years and was routinely inconvenienced by these protestors. We used to go down and watch (from a distance). The bottom line is that these "protestors" (more like anarchists if you ask me) are well organized and the only goal is to disrupt the business at hand and to incite the police. Fuck 'em.

It's like saying if one male fails math, all males will fail grades. Where is this sound proof that in his mind he wasn't willing to fight and was just doing it because he thought the cop wouldn't do anything.

Chill. This isn't Tianamen Square we're talking about here. If anything I think the cop was acting on insinct. He saw some guy step up, and he did what was natural. I would probably do the same in that situation. It's not my place to say if it was excessive or not, but it sure looked (and sounded) effective. I'm with a lot of these "conservatives" on the matter, the protestor stepped up, and he was put in his place, simple as that.
