At my High School everyone got robbed.
I remember that I caught this kid stealing my T89 calculator ... dude I was so pissed cause I bought it with my hard own money ... well the guy was like 6feet something, football player, and failed his senior year twice so I wasn't about to get in a fight with him. He was in the locker room *reading* and I go to PE late I put my bookback down, instead of putting it in the locker, I go outside to buy a drink and come back to see the guy going throught it. The only thing valuable was the calculator, cause I had my wallet and I was wearing my watch. Well for like 3min I saw him going through bookbacks really quick. He put the stuff in his bookback and put his bookback in a locker without a lock and left. I camly went and got his bookback and grabbed my calculator, a Ti83, a wallet that had like $80.00 a really nice reo mp3 player and some cds. I than left a note to the footoball coach, which was also the resource officer. I don't know what happen to the guy, but when we came back from PE and saw that some of the stuff he stole were missing he seemed mad, he punched the locker like several times and kept walking around saying who stole my stuff ... at the time he seemed innocent cause there were like 6 other people saying the same stuff. I was dressed and left by the time they all noticed.
My parents also got robbed in Caracas, Venezuela a lot. 3 purses were snatched from my mom on the subway, someone tried to take my dads car from him at gun point but than the guy freaked out cause my dad was giving rides to his buddies and there were like 6 people there.
