mostly lose water weight/sugars, and you get really dehydrated. I had a Marine in my platoon in MOS who took that shit and passed out on a few runs, when it comes down to it it's not good for you. I'd recommend just doing it the "right" and healthy way and lose the weight naturally... eat right and exercise and you are bound to lose it.. just don't get lazy and slack off. If I were you I'd be doing AT LEAST 10+ pull ups, 80 crunches and running a descent 3 miles before going to boot camp man. You'll just be the platoon bitch if you go to boot out of shape..... YES they do still mark you in boot camp if you're out of shape/ heavy set... you get half rations and you get a pretty two white lines on your green t-shirt... basically a mark of death, you'll get hazed all day. |

[quote="Airborne Butters":f72fd]I plan on joining law enforcment, and since Marines have a higher chance of getting in and better "connections" this is something I've wanted to do for a while. [/quote:f72fd]
Much respect! beer: |
damn Zap, that's almost a little discouraging, but I'll see. Seeing as how fast I can lose this, I'm hoping to sign up about summerish.
This seems stupid, but how exactly do you do a crunch? The way the guy described em was like you you bring your knee's about mid, then cross your arms on your chest and kind of meet mid-par in a sense...do I have this correct or is it just basically a situp? |

In a "sit-up" you keep your feet on the floor, knees bent and you raise all the way off the floor until your chest hits your knees. A crunch is a shorter movement. You raise your knees until your thighs are perpenticular (sp?) to the floor and then you raise your shoulders off the floor and "crunch" your abdominals. BTW - Butters, if you have never done these, or any type of exercise, I highly recommend joining a health club and getting one of their guys to show you how to do all of these types of exercises. Also, go buy a fitness magazine. Almost every one of them have ab execises in there every month. This month's Runner's World has five very good ab exercises illustrated and explained. |
that girl looks like she has some pretty nice tits... biggrin:

And make sure your shoulder blades come off of the ground. But as long as your fore arms touch your thighs your good. Like i said pull your legs in tight otherwise you are wasting energy. |
