Training Day - I love the first scene in the diner where they meet, Denzel makes Alonso fuckin crazy. Then "we in the office" (f/ cleverly selected dr dre beat & car on hydrolics)...

Return of the King, when Gandalf is telling Pippin about what happens when you die. Music and imagery was great, I especially love how the ambient noise went silent, and suddenly at the end of Gandalf's speach, there's a sharp, loud slam as the troll hammers the door again and makes the entire audience jump.

The opening of Serenity, when the black background around the movies logo fades into the actual ship Serenity, and then the music swells, the ship hits atmo. That whole sequence is great.

The ending of Milo & Otis where they go to shake paws but sniff each
others anus instead...*sob..* ..cinematic magnificence right there.
