And how old are you? Here's what that scripture means: Jesus is saying to the people that because they have seen Him (Jesus) that they believe in him. Then He goes on to say that whoever believes in God without actually seeing him is blessed and will be rewarded. The only thing there is to laugh at now is your stupidity. :lol:[/quote:f3b4a] I am 18, and FUCK you, my stupidity :roll: , just because I choose not believe in some mystical being NO ONE has ever seen, I am stupid :roll: , fuck you.[/quote:f3b4a] Once again, you just simply didn't understand. I was calling you on your stupidity on not knowing what that scripture meant. I don't care if you don't believe in God, that doesn't make you stupid. And I'm so very glad that using language like that makes you feel better about yourself. Whoops, hope I didn't piss you off more. :lol: :roll: |
So what if I dont understand the vaunted scripture, of the worlds oldest fiction novel. Jesus, you bible thumpers take everything so frigging seriously, If jesus could walk on water then I can flap my arms and fly :roll:

I don't care if you don't believe in God. Just don't make fun of the people who do. Let us believe what we want. |

[quote="Garry Coleman":164ee]Jesus died on a Friday- TRUE
Jewish people took Jesus off the cross--TRUE A Jewish person would NEVER EVER touch a dead body on a Friday. They always wait until the Saturday or Sunday. Some historians think he was alive when he was off the cross (3 hours is a VERY short time of death considering others took about 8-12 hours to die).[/quote:164ee] Actually the Sabbath is from sundown Fri evening until sundown Sat evening so they could not of WORKED to take down the body on the sabbath but were free to do so on Fri afternoon. Luke 23: 52 He approached Pilate and asked for Jesus' body. 53 Taking it down, he wrapped it in fine linen and placed it in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever been placed. 54 It was preparation day, and the Sabbath was about to begin. 55 The women who had come with Him from Galilee followed along and observed the tomb and how His body was placed. 56 Then they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment. Before His 3 hr ordeal on the cross Jesus was beaten, scourged and abused savagely hence was very weak (needed help to carry His cross, also He voluntarily gave up His Spirit as opposed to the spirit leaving Him). Matthew 27:26-32 ...But after having Jesus flogged, he handed Him over to be crucified. 27 Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into headquarters and gathered the whole company around Him. 28 They stripped Him and dressed Him in a scarlet robe. 29 They twisted a crown out of thorns, put it on His head, and placed a reed in His right hand. And they knelt down before Him and mocked Him: "Hail, King of the Jews!" 30 Then they spit at Him, took the reed, and kept hitting Him on the head. 31 When they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the robe, put His clothes on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him. 32 As they were going out, they found a Cyrenian man named Simon. They forced this man to carry His cross. Matthew 27:50 Jesus shouted again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit. thanks for your interest |

No one was calling you stupid, it was your colorful reply that was responded to. HE'ATHEN, n. [Gr. from heath, that is, one who lives in the country or woods, as pagan from pagus, a village.] 1. A pagan; a Gentile; one who worships idols, or is unacquainted with the true God. In the Scriptures, the word seems to comprehend all nations except the Jews or Israelites, as they were all strangers to the true religion, and all addicted to idolatry. James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble |
i choose to believe in what i want.
despite the fact i come from a catholic italian family (my god... the stories i have to tell) i choose to believe in what i feel is right and what is wrong. its my right as an american, and as a human being to think for myself and not be subjected to what anyone else thinks. do i think there is a god? yes. why? because without a god, there would be no hope, no one to turn to, no one to pull us together. life itself would be reasonablly pointless. you live... then die. thats it? there has to be some reason we were put on earth. |

[/quote:7471b][/quote:7471b] Yes i have sinned many, many times, I'm not perfect but I have been forgiven for my past, present and yes even future sins by the Lord Jesus Christ. |

Why the hell are you guys arguing?
This isn't any different form the Canada vs. USA arguments we have. Some people believe in God etc. some don't. DOn't try to change each others opinions. If people want to be ignorant and ignore facts, let them. If people want to be blinded by their own stupidity fine. Whatever. People can believe whatever they want. My grandmother is a hardcore Christian. She reads the bible and takes everything literally. The Bible was not meant to be taken literally. But ya know what, thats her problem. She can do whatever. Just chill on the subject. Your not going to get anywhere. |

All I really care about if you like poop or not, that is my discrimination.
