Finally finished baking my cupcakes and i must say they taste delicious. I've only had one or two cupcakes from this batch, but i can tell the rest are going to be good. I do wish they hadnt turned out so much like my doom 3 decorated cupcakes, but im hoping the colors and texture are a wee bit differant in later cupcakes. I will keep you posted as i continue to consume this batch. I'll probably have some for breakfast.

Got it a couple of hours ago, played some sp and some multi. Multi is pretty fun but it kinda depends on the server you get into, as always you get some servers that have people on them that have been playing quake for years so you never seem to last pretty long. Some other servers you can have a good time on with people that have just got the game and are around the same level as you.

Single player is really good so far as well, the game looks better than doom 3 has more enemies on screen and has outdoor areas but seems to keep a higher frame rate than doom 3 would at the same settings. Playing at 1280x1024 in widescreen format with settings on high with 2x anti aliasing and my fps have only went to 30 maybe on time, rest of the time its been high 50's for the most part. beer:

ok, so Bestbuy is gay and wont drop the price down to 49.99 after I complained it wasnt on shelves when I came in two days ago as it was advertised on their website, they told me I should have gotten a reighncheque and I told them to fuck off. im not spending $70 on a game thats just like Q3.

Its not "just" like quake 3, for a start quake 3's Sp mode was just bot match practice, this has a pretty good sp mde to play through. ive already done the tank and mech sections and had a lot of squad combat and its really good.

The ending blows, but the game is amazing. I just found out that even though it recommends the lowest settings for me I can run it on High at 1152x864 with no hickups.

Not only is SP and MP more fun then Dooms, but it looks better and runs better.

I put about 6 hours into it yesterday and activated two of the three nexus things. I'll probably wrap that up today.

Unfortunatly i do have to admit it seems a bit doom 3ish in the later levels. The squad parts and vehicle parts are done well enough. Though i am tired of getting a squad for 5 minutes to clear 2 rooms then they have to "secure this area" while a lone marine fordges on to the next objective.

Took some snaps of some kinda neat stuff, no spoilers, hell in fact i was so busy most of the time i missed taking the screen. Links to some to save the 56kers. Others displayed for coolness.

The lighting in this game continues to astound and confuse. Sometimes you'll get shadows cast by marines and shit, sometimes you wont... when you do, its pretty.

Overall a sweet game, that obviously kept me busy for half a day yesterday, and likly atleast 3 or so hours today. We shall see. All in all its not a system hog either. Im running high settings on everything but AA and thats at 2x with a reso of 1280x1024. Thats with a system approaching 2 years old. AMD 64 3200+, 1 gig ddr400 ram, and a nvidia 5950 ultra 256. Its by no means top of the line, but its not bargin basement either. The 5950u is really proving to hold up well with everything i've thrown at it.

I bought this game yesterday.

It isntalled fine and took the cd-key during install. But when i try to play the game, at the menu screen it asks for the CD Key again, and says its inuse or invalid?

Any help??
