This was my set up monday of the wifes new PC and installing the new vid card. It was a fucking snap with that little clip action that dell has to hold in the PCI Cards

My case has a similar swing down holder to secure the expansion cards. rock:
I dunno why dell use so much friggin custom ducting in their pc's, youd think they were trying to contain the heat of an out of control nuclear power plant or something. ed: Looks like a BTX setup as well with the cpu near the front with the big cooler on it. Far better for cooling. |

Nyck, does your dell have the plastic handle type thing on the ram also? I thought that was really handy when I was changing my RAM config.

My brother is looking for a really good computer for under $3,000. Mostly just for a lot of media and low-level gaming. What's the best place to get laptops from?
|
Nyck, I have the XPS 400 as well, damn good machine.
|
(?>all) does upgrading the bios really allow the system to perform better?
also, which is better and why in terms of performance, pci video card or an agp card? I've noticed that pci-e tend to be more expensive than agp cards and just wanted to know exactly why that was.. btw, jin roh, check around ebay and newegg |

PCI express works better than a agp, it has more speed but you need an actual pci express slot not just PCI and there is x16(good) x1(suck) vid cards right now PCIe > AGP > PCI |
Okay so I played bf2 again and I need new ram My shit was raped
I have a gig now(it sucks 1x512 2x256) I'm looking for at least 2 gigs 2x1GB That is $225 or less. My system takes pc3200 I have 2700 in there now(I think the 512 may be 3200 so that would give me 3 for 2.5 gigs I see some decent deals http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231047 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820227063 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820145575 Lower CAS Rating is better correct? That Cosair looks like a hot fukin deal |
Ocz is classed as some of the best ram these days, im using gskill. Not a ton of difference betwen the corsair and the ocz.
