Since both platforms have moved to DDR2, PCI-Express, etc it really does come down to CPU performance and price. Seems like Conroe will be the way to go

Question:

I "found" a copy of Win XP Corp which has SP2 already with it. Can I turn on automatic updates?

The reason I ask is I also "found" a copy of Norton Internet Security 2006 and it has that X in the norton box unless you turn on automatic updates. It kind of bugs me and I want to know if its OK to get the updates or not.

LOL, yeah it's cool man. My bro gave me his cd of win xp pro and the cd didnt work so i just "requested" a copy of it and it worked, updates too. and But i have a question, what else have you "found"? happy:

automatic updates will work but you wont have access to the windows update site

I know it will work, i mean should I be doing it because I have a "found" version?

I think it just does not allow you to download updates, they don't send stuff and delete your HD or find out where you live
