It depends on your view of the world too: do you hold that our world is
totally deterministic in nature, or that free will exists for conscious entities?

It's one of those interesting subjective topics...

EDIT: When I say deterministic, I refer to those that believe the initial
conditions totally determine the outcome of the universe, meaning that
although you THINK you were thinking, you really aren't: the initial rules
determined that it would happen that way and no matter how much you
think you are "choosing", you aren't biggrin:

Frig.. sometimes I find myself thinking we are all in a big dream and one of these "days" this "person" shall awaken from "its" slumber and all of "mankind" will perish.

i donno if anyone watched that show sliders back in the day but i think time travel will be like that.. its sort of like the multiverse thing

Time has to do with motion, and with the big bang, motion starts; therefore,
we can say that the "beginning" of time could be when the big bang occured
even though there aren't any precise definitions of what time is. We didn't
invent time; we simply devised a way to measure it. Time is special just like
gravity is in the sense that we know it's there but can't really expound on it.

This doesn't change the fact that motion and events occur, and that there
