There are always better solutions than war, but why am I saying this to you people? most of you are warmongers.

the reason why we can't assasinate him is because he has SOOO many "look-alikes" out there to throw everyone off. I saw a show on the Discovery Channel about how Saddam has atleast 40 different look-alikes. I'd like to assinate him myself, but hey, you really don't know who to follow. Some investigators believe that Saddam hasn't been seen in public for over 5 years and he has had his "look-alikes" give all of his speeches and public appearences.

There was another chilling thing they showed on the program. They interviewed a former Iraqi Saddam "poser" that had facial surgery to look like Saddam . The poser is now an American and they showed a picture of Saddam with the face of the former Saddam look-alike. It was SCARY how well the surgeons made him look. I couldn't tell one difference between them.

I can't believe half the people in this thread, I take that back, this site. Sure these people have a different view than you, so you want to kill them all? And you wonder why people call US the bad guys?

Innoxx 02-19-2003 10:33 PM

Well then. We get somebody from the inside to light the way. I'm sure the Politicians can be corruptable when we go "mafia" on them.

Recycled Spooge 02-19-2003 10:33 PM

Filthy imperialists want to kill the protestors... oOo:

Old Reliable 02-19-2003 10:34 PM

you all claim to have the "perfect solution" but have you been to the middle east or even studied on middle east culture and the history of relations between middle eastern countries? obviously not, but the people at government have and they will make the ultimate decision

Pyro 02-19-2003 10:35 PM

It seems the only solution for every situation...in most of your eyes....is killing everything is sight.

Old Reliable 02-19-2003 10:35 PM

i think we should all adopt John Stuart Mill's theory of complete freedom of individuality oOo:

I have studied teh mid east (more or less).
It seems to me that Iraq is made up of many different groups (sunni, she-ite, kurds, etc.). Now these folks' idea of compromise is "I point AK-47 at you and you do what I say".
Therefore it's safe to say they will not understand deomcracy.
To have a stable, democratic government in Iraq we will need to go in full force and set up mandatory schools for all Iraqi kids where we would have to "reprogram" them to forget the generations of hate and distrust. Are we ready to spend the time and money to do that?
Otherwise after Saddam we will have another state like Somalia on our hands, where warlords from different ethnic groups fight for domination, a veritable terrorist's paradise.
