It's poorly coded and badly optimized. That's the ONLY reason you got bad
framerates: blaming it on the fact that you only had 1GB of RAM is all
crap. Far Cry has about the same draw distance with about as many features
and characters in the scene and I never got under 60fps at Very High detail
with my 1200mhz Tbird and GF4 Ti4600.

You need to admit to yourself that you overpaid for your system. There
is absolutely no shame to it: in fact, it would make you seem wiser in spite
of the fact that you did throw away 1200$ for nothing.

Himmler 07-13-2004 10:57 PM

ill admit i over-paid a bit, but it was a gift man, if i was saving up yard-work money for 2 years no i would not buy it. but since we can afford it, there is no shame in spending that much either. i never did blame it on the fact i had 1 gig of ram, but i am stating that i get 10 times better fps in it then with my other computer. with my other pc, in far cry i've seen my fps dip down to 10-20. even 5 in some cases. i also bought their 2 year extended warrenty, and taht was about 150-200 i think, cant remember. and i also bought some $70 5.1 channel headphones. and paid $70 for their support program, and $10 for a cable organizer.

we want timeings..whole timeings not this OMG CAS24win bullshit ex:2-2-2-5 ..But since you got so much bloody ram i'll bet its 2-4-4-8 and only has cas2 as a selling point oOo:

Himmler 07-14-2004 12:05 AM

tell me what to do to get the timings, and i'll tell you

Go to http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and download the latest version and click on the memory tab

fujimi7su 07-14-2004 12:27 AM

you can do that or look in your BIOS

anyways solidus is right, SWG is horribly scripted.

i want to see timings to.

Don't get me wrong though... I'd KILL (Bill) to have that PC.
