this is so u can have duel monitors and hook your v-card up to a normal TV

On ATI's there are two connections: a VGA for CRT monitors and a DVI for LCD monitors. The cards usually come with a DVI to VGA adapter so you can have dual CRT's or one of each. TV-out uses the s-video connection.
