My idea = 1337

Someone should do it. Flash = good when it doesn't hinder functionality, which is the whole idea of my design. The animations are part of it, not an obstacle.

I think flash is too based on graphic sites, and not content. You can't fit a whole lot of content into a bubble, you know?

They should be basic, and quickly loading.

Bah.. you have to read the idea. You still have the basic structure of any content-based site. Content occupying the largest portion of the screen, aligned to the bottom-right corner. Content-specific links on the left, overall navigation up top. The actual Flash on the page is minimal, so load times aren't really an issue.

Exactly.. that's why I was saying I wish I knew flash. The animations, where present, are very brief. They are also small because they don't loop and use the same image.. movement animation. We aren't talking about constant background movement, although I always thought the scrolling pseudo-text on banners was fookin awesome.

If you don’t like one's design, either politely tell him the reason or how he may improve; or, from time to time, it may be a better idea to just to keep that to yourself.

I think Winter started this thread so the designers can get some constructive criticism, not to be bashed like his existence is the reason why there's no tomorrow.
