wow, there are a lot of retards on that forum, one guy said that the game was bad because some of the computers posted in one thread were ones Nasa would want and they wouldn't run the game. Then I read some of the specs and there were guys complaining about how their GeForce 4 and FX series wouldn't play the game...one guy even whined about his MX not working...

Im holding off on choosing which card to get - I want to be able to play this game and get the kind of graphics they were pimping in those videos (or at least close to it). Right now, no matter WHAT I tweak, I cant get the human faces to look remotely detailed as they are in the preview videos they have. I dont have a super system obviously, but even nintys graphics - while better looking than mine - still isnt approaching what was seen in the video. The game looks and plays great sure, but damn we were sold on the Filet Mignon, not The Steak - even though the steak is damn good (or haggis. . .haggis for you Gervaise. . .) The high system complaint IS a valid one though. How many people have the ability to put together a system with two 7900's running in SLI mode with a Dual Core Lightsaber Pentium 4 or M or whatever and 2gigs of high density ram. |
Don't know if people want to disable the startup in-game movies, if so:
To disable all the startup movies, and have it load the menu right away, go to your My Documents>My Games>Oblivion folder, backup and then open Oblivion.ini with Notepad, and where it says: SIntroSequence=bethesda softworks HD720p.bik,2k games.bik, game studios.bik,Oblivion Legal.bik Remove the bik files so it says: SIntroSequence= Also, where it says: SMainMenuMovieIntro=Oblivion iv logo.bik should be: SMainMenuMovieIntro= Any progress on the ATI X850XT game footage/movie yet Mr. Gervatron?? I await your video as its so tempting to just buy a new card...... |
edit: nvm need no help on specs found myagis system requirement thing back in the thread

I have the manual for anyone that is interested. Very useful information available as in BETHESDA's efforts to streamline versions of OB across languages - pretty much everything in the game is tool-tipped.
For example - you can mark spots on the map with a blue arrow. |
Dloads going pretty slow, should be done tonight and ill post tomorrow what it plays like.

13.0% moving along at a smooth 42Kbs

I still cant get my game to fucking work cry:

Hook me up with that manualizzle. dance: |
