Drug reform

what there so worried about is that younger kids are doing it wihle their brains are still developing which is all the more reason to legalize it that way u can actually control it alot better than trying to deal with it while its illegal, and instead of pouring all that money into trying to stop marijuana from reaching the youth of america why not just make it legal that way its just as hard to get weed as it is beer, suprisingly enough when I was in HS it was alot easier to get weed than it was beer, and by legalizing it they will actually be making a shit load off of the taxes. They are so scared of weed they cant make good decisions about it, they all just need to smoke a fat joint and shut the hell up and do something actually useful instead of trying to stop marijuana when its no worse than alcohol.

HeadUp 07-30-2004 05:26 PM

is illegal cuz the gov't couldnt tax it if were made legal

Sirus 07-30-2004 05:30 PM

why not they sure as hell do with beer

HeadUp 07-30-2004 05:35 PM

because marijuana could be grown very easily in a variety of different areas, the price would become so cheap, everyone would just grow thier own and govt processed chron would have as good a chance as the 1000000000 other would-be gorwers/sellers

the gov't is also unable, at this point, to reduce funding for the drug war since theres already so fuckin much money invested in it

i dont think weed will see a reasonable level of legality for many years to come

Old Reliable 07-30-2004 06:04 PM

it would also create as a competitor to the cigarette and beer markets, so they are paying the govt to make marijuana look bad

bukdez 07-30-2004 06:59 PM

weed = massive cash-crop...

Do you know how much governments spend fore preventative and reactionary measures against marijuana?

If marijuana were to be legalized, the government would save billions and billions of dollars.

imported_Grim_Reaper 07-30-2004 07:27 PM

Not yet. It's still being debated in Parliament.

lmao... imagine the other Parliament was in charge, it would be mandatory to smoke weed, and not having 'the funk' would be a criminal offense...

Sgt>Stackem 07-31-2004 08:50 AM

one of the main reasons it wont happen is that there is no test to see if you are under the influence. The test show if you have used it in the last 30 days but there is nothing to prove you were driving under the influence. Like alcohols road side test. If they had a way to do it then it may be decriminalized until them you will be breaking the law
