That when u see actual footage of Omaha Beach there are hardly any1 on the beach.. Its like only a couple guys.. Like that most famous clip where like 5 guys are runnin to the shingle, 1 falls, 1 trips, and the other 3 keep runnin... If u look around no1 else is there.. Also that other pic of 1 guy in the water making his way toward the beach, there arent that many men around him either.. And in the MOH level there are juss enuff peeps on there.. THey were the very first to land so its prettty coo, i juss thought there was suppose to be more men on beach.. But if u look at actual clips there was like no1 there..

i noticed this but they did discugise(sp?) it very well.

Well you have to take into account that 8 mg-42's plus mortars are going to stiff a lot of people before you actually hit the beach.

In the water there seemed to be a lot more people but as ya hit the beaach they could be taking cover behind the hedgehogs. The guy playing doesn't really look around too much so ya cant really make the assumption that there was hardly anyone on the beach.

well most videos were prolly hard to take at a time like that and the guy with the camera prolly didnt arrive till after most of the action was close to end. i mean i wouldnt be caought dead on Omaha Beach with a camera instead of a gun.

I wonder if there are different ways to go to beat that level, but mainly get off the beach.

i dont recall any actual footage of omaha beach LANDING. Some guy took about a hundred pics and then when he got to developing them he fucked up cause he was in a rush and only like 10 developed. But he said he was so afraid on the beach that he was finding himeself running back to the boats unable to turn and face the beach. hell i dont think any actual live footage was taking on landing. mayne near the end of it, when the gunners were dead and the mines uncovered.

I forgot wut page i went too, but it was a great page bout Normandy Landings and after d-day.. I clicked OMaha Beach and looked at all the pics and stuff.. Then i saw something that was an actual newsreel that showed that imgae of the 4 guys running and 2 get hit by machine gun fire. The newsreel was titled "things shaky at Omaha" or something like that.

Kaiser: I think you're right.. there aren't that many men on the beach because they are first wave, I also bet about 45% of the wave was already dead or dying. So that why there aren't too many men. But in the end of the last video where hes looking out of the bunker there must be about 30 or so men scrambling about.

the reason that many men were on the beach was that a lot of boats sank and most soldiers drowned because they got out of their higgins boats in the deep places. Remember SPR, soldiers that jump of the boat find them selves in 8 feet deep water and u see one of them drown and the rest get shot.
Most of the soldiers that were killed were drowned becuz of their heavy equipment. Imagine ur self carrying 40-50 pounds of shit on u, while trying to swim...

thats the reason for this post.. I was complainin earlier about not enufff men on beach, but then i realized the first wave didnt have much men left. They were all pretty much wiped out.. But i just hope you dont run out of men on the OMaha Beach level.. Say if i wanna play around and scramble throughout the whole beach i dont want to be the only sole left. I want guys constantly commin..
