confessions of a miyagi

Well I told my parents last night that i'm quitting my music tech college course to go and move in with mel in Dallas for a long time, it was a strange experience. Yesterday my mum phoned me up to see how i was etc, so i just came out with it and said i was quitting, she was like 'well you'll have to do alot more thinkin, sort out ur finances, find other courses' and i was like 'um, everythings been thought of, thats it, i'm cutting this course short by 2 years'. the next day she phoned me up with ideas of what i should do, again-i told her my intensions and had to surprise her again by tellin her that i've met this great, wonderful girl that im very in love with and that i'd be going over to dallas in january once i've got a part time job here for a few months and sorted some other things out.
I ain't spoken to my dad yet but im sure he'll be supportive of me going there but he was kinda disappointed with the college thing..
Phew! i've been waiting to tell em these few things for months, i'm glad they actually know what i'm really up to now.

Its all or nothing! im leaving the uk to go all out and stay with the only girl i want to be with. ill keep you posted before i leave and eventually when im there i'll tell you how its all goin.

miyagi out!

Full Metal Jacket 10-19-2002 12:16 PM

I have to agree, webcam password would go over very well with us here, lol, just kidding, good luck man, if that's what makes you happy, go for it.

ninty 10-19-2002 12:19 PM

Sorry to see that you have to quit your course. I hope that everything will work out the way you want it to. Good luck.

Totenkopf 10-19-2002 07:08 PM

Miyagi, this isn't the huge decision that many will make it out to be, shit doesn't work out, you just start where you left off. I remember when I dropped out of college, a year away from my degree, to join the Army. People thought I was nuts. But in my heart, it was what I wanted to do. Just remember the saying, "It's better to regret something you did, then something you didn't do".

Was my decision right? I would make the exact same decision that I did back then, knowing what I know now. It is a part of who I am.

Too bad she doesn't live in like Hawaii, or Tahiti though. biggrin:

But how can you possibly know this if you've never been there? If i were to base an americans opinions of canadians online id say they hated them, however if i went to america i might found out this isn't the case. You seem to be forming opinions of what you read online.

con Brio 10-19-2002 09:31 PM

whatever, u guys are trying to act all cool and tough by telling him to just get laid.... i know u guys know that there are more important things in life like finishing a quality education first.

just don't come running to us if it doesn't work out.

ninty 10-19-2002 09:33 PM

Its his decision.

Let him do what he wants.

Thats why I wish him the best. I hope that it works out for him, but ultimatley its his decsion.

Let him live his life.

con Brio 10-19-2002 09:34 PM

do what u want, but if it were me, i'd finish school. that's my take on it.

con Brio 10-19-2002 09:37 PM

in the meantime....

me and my girl are in second year university together and it's going great. we're really enjoying our relationship where we act as if we are a bf/gf but we don't officially call it that, even though we do everything a close couple would do. u guys should try it, it's great.

How do you know were not?

Since you got your "girlfriend" you seem to think that your better than everyone else.

Maybe you need a blowjob or something.

blowjobs are meaningless..... there has to be a real base of friendship first
