What is the hardest game you have ever played?
 

I think it has to be a tie between Contra and Battletoads for the NES. Although I actually beat Battletoads, that game pissed me off to no end. Contra, on the other hand, was so damn hard it didn't piss me off, because I just quit and never played it again.

Today's games are pretty easy compared to NES games, even on hard difficulty. MOHAA was challenging on some levels at hard, but you could still beat it. I think the fact that you can save whenever you want makes today's games much easier.

So tell about the game that made you chunk your controller at the TV and afterwards go outside and beat the shit out of a tree with a baseball bat.

1 and 3 were kinda easy but 2 was really hard

I didn't find that one too hard, plus the fact that you can run around like you're on an acid trip helps matters. The last stage though when you're in the castle is pretty damn hard. Although if I remember correctly, Bowser was a pussy in that game. He wasn't that hard.

I think 'Hidden & Dangerous' is fairly challenging. I think the problem is in the controls.... eatthis:

A driving sim called racer for the PC i just downloaded, wholy fuck its hard to control the cars, im finally starting to figer out the controls but every car is way different than the rest so its hard to play.

Sudden strike was fucking hard, it took me forever to beat it.

Super Smash Tv on the master system was testing to the max, it was also the stupidest thing ever. alex kidd in miracle world was also a whore

fucking battletoads. i never beat that game. same with jaws.. but i was only like 6 or 5.

Home Alone for gameboy, still haven't beaten it. :/

True life is hard, But resident evil was pretty damn hard

I hardly play any games. the only one I really play is civ 3 and you can't really pass it since its different every time.

Old PC turn based stratigy game. There is no winning that game.

Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX) was difficult. You really have to choose what way to build your characters. Friday the 13th (NES) seemed like the game never ended!

Predator for c64 - whenever you died, you had to LOAD the whole cassette again (15-20-minutes), oh and you died often, too.

C&C series games aren't hard, I just don't have the patience to spend close to an hour beating one mission.

commandos 1 and 2. pissed me off to no end. although i completed them i still have reocurring flashbacks and frequently wet the bed.
