is it posible to turn off fog on MP? how is it posible?
i get picked off from the cottage to the axis gate while i am sniping from behind the sandbags on CROSSROADS. imposible too see that far through fog i know tha at some point u can see an outline, but this was way beyond that point

it's one line added to a file in your main folder. If you really are deadset on finding out, look it up on the net. But, use it and it'll be obvious to everyone you play against that you're cheating...and that's not a cool label to have.

make sure you have your color settings at 32

be warned tho it really tends to drop your fps when you use it

Um, yeah, how is nofog not a cheat? I'm pretty sure that's altering gameplay to give you an unfair and unequal advantage over another player. Obvious fog hackers are banned from the [203rd] server.

Do wallhackers ruin your fun? Do people under the map that you don't see ruin your fun? Well, they do mine, and so do fog hackers, because they can see me long before I can see them. You tell me how that's fair gameplay. Anything which gives another person an unfair advantage through the bending of rules is cheating. Period.

No fog is a cheat. And yes, people *do* notice.

Good snipers see where they can be shot from, and if the only spot they could be shot from is out of the fog or behind the farplane, then they will very surely notice.

Ever seen screenshots of no-fog? If not, then you look [url=http://www.internationalgamers.net/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=7:ba795]here[/url:ba795]. Now tell me that is not a cheat. You can snipe people in the far axis house from that spot without them ever having a chance to see let alone aim for you.

Anybody being caught using no-fog(and other cheats of same severeness) is banned from our server forever. That's something all server admins should do.

Thanks for the link, tss68nl. I've always wanted to see what some of the cheats looked like, but never wanted to actually use them to do so.

Other than making it easy to see the enemy with neon skins, does anyone know if the neon skins cast dynamic lighting as well, so that people who use them will know you are around a corner because they see blue or red or whatever color they are using?

Them not knowing about it is one of the very things that ruins the fun. If some sniper keeps killing you, and he/she is behind fog so you never know where he/she is, then you stand no chance of getting them. Its no fun getting repeatedly fragged by someone, whether its because they are flat better than you, or because they are lame cheaters.

I am happy and amazed when someone kills me with good skill. I get pissed off when killed due to shitty cheats. :)

Anyways, skins exist with inbuilt lights in different colours.
Also, nowadays skins exist which display their textures on the sunflare channel. As sunflare graphics are displayed on top of everything (to make sure it really blinds you) you also see these skins on top of everything. This means, you can see people walking (exactly follow their movements) through 3 houses thick or more if you want. These are VERY severe cheats, as they can even see you grab a nade, follow you through buildings etc etc.

Our clan server runs a program that detects any custom skins and announces that the player has 90 seconds to change to a default skin, or be removed from the server. it might be autokick, I'm not sure. Oh wait, I found it. Here is the link. Just scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on it.

If I get into a good firefight with someone and they beat me, its all good. Maybe I even learn something from it. But when someone is so much better than me that I rarely can frag them, then the fun quickly exits stage left for me. And I follow soon thereafter.

I'll try and find them after a couple of weeks, to see if my game has improved enough to get them or not. But truly being owned is not much fun, at least, thats how I remember it being back in May, when my gram owned me. oOo:

Don't let yourself be fooled into a false sense of security. Cheat skins today come with simple instructions to name them after the standard player skins. Even worse, most cheat skins already replace the original game skins even when added in an additional pk3.
A skin detector will only catch the real newbies, and experience learns once you have caught people with these newbie skins, they will succeed in finding themselves ones that are undetectable.

Also, don't rely on the 'anti-force-models' there is already a simple way around it (which I'm not going to state here, as that will tell exactly how to get around it to all who is trying to cheat themselves). I hope you forgive me for that :)

I know you can rename the skins, but if you force the clients to only use default skins in the game then susspected cheats only have to be asked for a screenshot within a time frame. They have a hard time switching the pk3. files round to take the screen shot as all the originals are re-named.

I cant believe someone would be stupid enough to think no-fog isnt a cheat?

i am not going to call anybody a cheater but isn,t it feckin obvious that the same person on the other side kills u in a different position (i was camping lol)this person had know way of knowing i would be in those areas 4 different areas but he knew when to fire the exact moment !!!!kind of pissed me off but i had no proof ,so kept my mouth shut and said nothin in my opinion he was using a wallhack i just wish it was easier to prove this during games than just being observant

A good way of checking if they are using sunflares is to quit game, run sunflares and sit in spec watching them, its really obvious if they watch people through walls m8

well firstly, the sunflare skins from issisx are nothing now, boballooo released the chameleon ones, which change colors when they are behind an object. secondly, yes no fog is considered a cheat. also skins are very easily made undetecable, the first time i made my neon skins i didnt rename the tik's like the tutorial said to, so i ended up with undetectable neons BEFORE it was even discovered how to detect em. also, just for all u guys that run delator and kick and ban people for using "aimbot skins"... there are no working mohaa aimbots, even the aimbots for counter strike are a joke. the lastest one, RaGe OGL 3.1 or something, maybe 3.2, anyways.. it rarely helps when a guy is moving, but if a guy is just standing there, it will lock on to him, so when u r bobing and weaving and some guy snipes ya in the head from across the map, dont cry out AIMBOT, cuz they DONT exist, its called skill. probably they have neon skins on which do help a lot, probably making u think someone has an aimbot. anyways i would gladyly hook ya up with no fog, but i cant here without being banned, granted i could go on getting a new account agai and again until they ban my ip, then just reset my mode. when they ban my subnet mask, ill just fire up a proxy and im good to go again. so im not here to be a bitch, just letting u all know the way things are :P
