We need a Vet/cool people/private/non-n00b forum!
 

I say we should get rid of the history forum and replace it with a private forum that only selected members can browse/post in. Sorta like our old vet forum. I'm just tired of all these flaming newbs and spam posts. We need a place where vets and other mature people can kick back and chew the fat and start meaningful threads. Anybody agree with me?

I'm agreed on this....The last forum worked really well! I'm unsure why BS took it away, it was a lot of fun.

I think the forum would turn the heat down here a little bit...Because it is quite hot at the moment.

I'd suggest someone like BallWook, Sloidussey or Spooge to choose who is entitled to use the forum.

If I remember correctly, it was Albow & Spooge who chose last time. They both did quite a good job.

Even the "veterans" get involved in flames, not just the noobs. That might not solve as many problems as you think.

Yeah, but the veterans like each other. n00bs are n00bs. They don't know anyone, and usually aren't good at making friends.

BTW, Flaming DOES get tedious. Especially a forum full of it.

You try moderating all the posts with porn, flame, warez and what not. It's a fucking job all right.

Okay, this thread was made to see how many people would want a vet forum, not who flames who, and why. If I've been real pissy to people in the past I apologise, everybody has their long days.

I personally don't buy into that reg dats post count bullshit, I say a vet is anybody who is helpful, polite, mature, and enjoys a good laugh.

Yeah, I'm willing to agree with that. It's not that often that someone like that rears in here, nowadays. Doesn't really bug me though, I have a lot of fun with these regulars already.

I like a good flame war now and then or else this place will be too much be like happy happy land.

Private forums for the elite few ? Sure... why not.

We can all agree on a specific few who have been here since the beginning
and have always been helpful, on top of entertaining, right? I suggest they
be the initial elite, followed by votes to see who gets to gain access to the
forum section. That way, it doesn't necessarily matter that a person joined a
certain date, or has X amount of posts: the majority would decide whether
or not a person is deemed worthy of entry...

You could always start your own forum and password it. Sounds like a ghey idea to me.

Where where is it damnit. We had one then it was taken away with the new board layout and it was great we had non-n00bets in their and voted who we wanted in and out. I loved it! It was forums board heaven where we could talk about what we wanted not some stupid crap like why some guys ass is red or about his queer teacher.

Yea ok a vet-forum to discuss, what exactly? The size of so and so's tits? How many bullets a Garand should be fired? Countless other gristle? And seemingly, it's not REALLY to have a place where "mature, blah blah blah's" can hang, it's just to get on some mods goody list and get bragging rights. Sorry, but that is Ubber-Super-Gh3y (as the folks like to say).
