Hey guys, I'm part of a clan and we have been hacked during a game.

A player came into the server, was killed and respawned as a UBoat.
The u boat was about a quarter of the map in size. Dark Grey.

It had no matter, but rotated around the map until the server was disconnected. When it was reactiviated the server crashed, resulting in a lot of modifications and hassel.

Does anyone know what this is? Or how it is done?

We want to protect our clan from further attacks, and get it out there so it doesn't happen to your clan!

But yea bud we've known bout this for a couple months.

The person used a command the developers left in the game to spawn the sub.
You can get this fix for this here

All you do is replace a file on the server with this one and it will block anyone from doing it agian.
You'll need to have the server off while you change the file.

it is kind of funny.

Druid, do you think that would fix the issue of people just showing up in a game that is hosting a custom map. that only you have?

friend was testing some new textures in a test map he made, and poof. 2 people connected and came in the game.. one after the other.
walked around and then left..

now thats spooky

I'm not sure if your serious or joking but the answer is no.
This is only 1 tiny change to remove the needed command that allows people to spawn stuff.

I don't know how anyone could even connect if they didn't have the same map.

Actually, what these hackers do is edit their player skin to be an object, such as a uboat. Then when they respawn after their initial death, they spawn as a uboat model. The server cant handle this and it crashes. We would need to create a mod that only allows human models to play in servers. Difficult, to say the least.

At 1st we thought there was a slight chance someone could still get past mine. It turned out that if they tried, all that would happen is they would get an error message. Either way they wouldn't be able to spawn anything.

Crow impoved upon the original fix. To block anyone bypassing it before we were 100% sure about mine.You can find Crow's fix at mohadmin.com. Just do a search in the news section for "spawn"

A small map was made to test some textures converted over from bf42

and all sudden.. bam!

2 people connected and entered the game..
walked around, then left.

wow your a homo. i deleted the thread on MPC as soon as i saw it, i warned then banned people who discussed it on MPC... same thing with SxH.. and i tell people @ UC and OGC that it doesnt work anymore since im not a moderator and have no power. it ruis a game... some n00b gets mad cuz he sucks so he gets revenge by crashing the server... so gay.

guys cheating sucks! sure yes i agree with that statement sure it would be funny. But think about the people in e server who bought the game to play not to fuck around!

I seen this before on a private beta test of Dieppe with the dads only about 5 had the map and this guy spawned and i assumed as he was 999 ping he wasnt really there.

As we were walking tru the map looking for flaws etc:
This guy started shooting us ...LOL
It really bugged me so i looked into it and found the guy by his name on mohaa.com

When he joined the server it said Obj team3 and he was playing obj team 3 but it was funky looking.
Even tho we were playing Dieppe on the DaDs server he seen beach of Omaha and it was funky.

There is a pic of it happening to a DaD the map was Destroyed Village then loaded V2 one DaD got stuck on destroyed Village he could see the other dads running up invisible stairs (they were playing V2) but he seen the church and well the pic says it all really:)
I looking for the pic its cool.


Oh and hackers are bad specially if they crash 40 servers in one night.

I'm not sure if you guys caught on to this about a mkonth ago or not, but both Cookie and Wolf are game hackers. I could care less, because they have kept their convos about it to a minimum, but I would prefer they kept it out of the forums altogether.

Anyways, when I commented about TEAMGOD being banned from the frums, and Cookie saying "that it wasnt true, lol", I kinda caught the hint. Then all his other posts commenting on how to crash serers, that he mods the game, etc.

I wouldn't be suprised by the time Rude returns he's not posting here anymore. *hint hint*
