Well, a few nights ago I decided to get a Slipknot cd: Iowa. What can one say about Slipknot? Slipknot has some ok sounding music, but the lyrics are so depressing, and ridiculous, that they are actually hilarious and I can never take them seriously. When I was under the influence, me and my friends kept dancing to it like pansies, and pretending we were actually taking it seriously, and we laughed our asses off. The crazy ass yelling, the really fast music that is too fast... It's undancable, but one can try and look funny. It's ridiculous. Some songs have voices as if they were taken out of an Nsync cd; good stuff. Depressed people's music ownz0rz.


By the way, I'm sorry to all the people who might actually be Slipknot fans, and who might be annoyed that I have just made fun of their favorite band. happy:

I hate people that say a certain form of music sucks when they don't even listen to it. If you've listened to an entire CD at least 4 times and still say they suck then I can except it... but I doubt most people here have listened to more than the Slipknot singles on the radio. Slipknot's self titled CD was much better than Iowa.

Well, everybody has their personal preference, anybody who calls other music shitty is ignorant. We can only tell you what we listen too; what we prefer. I used to like that stuff, mudvayne, coal chamber, rammstien, slipknot, fear factory, il nino, etc. I don't like the lead singer in slipknot that much, he just screams and roars at the mic. The rest of the band is great; nine members, it sounds nice and busy, and the fucking drummer is insane.

How can I listen to Iowa 4 times? It gave me a migrane the first time through, I'm sorry, just not my shot of bourbon.

Im into that 'type' of music but Slipknot arent that good , give me Static X anyday ..

I have both Slipknot albums...it's good to listen to when you're uber-pissed off. I didn't like Iowa as much as the 1st one, though.

Ok, here's my take on things.....someone here said that you should listen to them a few X's before stating they're shit.......and he's right.
I currently have over 4K songs of all different genre's and i even have some Slipknot (i still think they suck) but believe it or not, your music taste changes over time. I remember when i didn't like Pink Floyd or the Beatles....now i listen to them alot. Funny how things change with time. I won't even say what i'm listening to now....you'd laugh your ass off.

So for now, Slipknot sux in my book. We'll see what happens 10yrs down the road.

I can't say that I hate the way they play because it's pretty cool, but the lyrics and the whole costume theme is no good from my point of view.

form a musical stand point slipknot is very good. i think there guitars are a little to muddy though. and there is to much other noise covering up there talent.
there drumer is awsome. but there 1st cd is far better than there 2nd.

simple damn that is funny lets see you play any one of there songs. so simple you should be able to in about an hour.
