Even though I don't like Celine Dion, we as Amercians should feel honored that a neighbor was gracious enough to sing our national athem.

Celine Dion has a beautiful voice, that's why they let her sing it. Who really cares? It's a dmaned football game? Would you have been happier with Mariah Carey?

Heh, I asked the same thing last night. Then my wife smacked me and reminded me that:

1-It was not the national anthem

2-The song was God bless america, not God bless the USA.

3-Canada is part of america

Ya but everyone refers the US of A as America and Canada is part of NORTH America. When ppl ask a Canadian where they live they say Canada, not America.

I dont mind having people from other countries sing songs such as the National anthem or others such as God bless America. Hell there are quite a few singers that would probably do a good job with songs like these. Oh and Pest God Bless America is about the U.S. not about all of North America written by Irving Berlin an Immigrent from Siberia about the U.S. Although I could see it being sung to some how celebrate solidarity between Canada and the U.S.
