Tripper 03-18-2003 01:26 AM

Dude, you shouldn't give them shit, they're like one of the only western countries in the world that support the U.S in the attack on Iraq.

I'll support the Hessians from Bulgaria....Australia is Britain's Bitch. I don't agree with the War anyhow, but I support the people fighting.

Harlen Maguire 03-18-2003 01:33 AM

Jesus Christ,

We unconditionally support America in it's overseas ventures, and the thanks our soldiers get is a bunch of crappily put together sterotypical slang words?

What a sad fucking world we live in...

I'm sure you're all having a nice little laugh, but damn... watch your fucking mouthes... Reactions like this make me wonder, WTF is John Howard thinking?

cameltoe 03-18-2003 01:35 AM

lol sori i was just quoting dumb and dumber (i know someone will quote this and say something ghey about it) and im just trying to catch up to joes post count in honor of strik0r evil: oOo:

Sgt. Pepper. 03-18-2003 01:35 AM

I just wanted to get an idea how many troops they are sending and at what capacity they will be involved in.

BallisticWookie 03-18-2003 01:47 AM

I'd personally love to see the Crocodile Hunter tackle Saddam Hussein. That would be classic. biggrin:

Australia is sending 2000+ personnel, including Army, Navy and AirForce.

This might seem small to some, but that is a large deployment for us considering the size of our Military and our commitment to East Timor.

ARMY:

150 SASR (Special Air Service Regiment) Troopers (thats 1 Squadron) Tasked with Special Reconnaissance (SR) and Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE, basically "Cordon and Search"), and other similar roles they participated in while deployed in Afghanistan.

50+ 4RAR (4th Royal Australian Regiment) Commando's. They are tasked with CSAR (Combat Search and Rescue) and QRF (Quick Reaction Force). They will basically be backing up the SASR if those boys get in the shit.

A Troop (Not exactly sure how many) from the recently established Incident Response Regiment (CBR - Chemical Biological Radiological). Tasked with Specialist Advice on CBR incidents should they occur, and deactivation/decontamination of ADF (Australian Defence Force) and Coalition assets should CBR incidents occur.

3 CH-47D Chinooks from the 5th Aviation Regiment. Along with support personnel.

And 350 Regular Infantry Soldiers.

NAVY:

4 Ships including Guided Missile Frigates and a "Headquarters Afloat" Command ship (HMAS Kanimbla).

CDT3 (Clearance Diving Team 3) Tasked with mine clearance and EOD tasks. (These guys train with Navy SEALs and are capable of handling themselves in a firefight).

The ships are supported by S-70B2 Sea Hawks (similar airframe to the Black Hawk) and a Sea King Mk 50.

Army RBS-70 Surface to Air Missile crews are deployed on all ships.

AirForce:

14 F/A 18A Hornets

2 C-130H and 1 C-130J Hercules are tasked with Airlift missions.

2 AP-3 Orions are also in the task force. They will carry out similar operations to that of the far more technically advanced US AEWACS Aircraft.

Basically that sums up our deployment. 2000+ personnel. There may or may not be more or less as far as the numbers of units I detailed above.

One last thing, show us some fucking respect, like we obviously are showing to you by sending our people over there.

Sgt. Pepper. 03-18-2003 01:55 AM

Thanks for answering the question. And thanks for the help.

BallisticWookie 03-18-2003 02:03 AM

Australia is Britain's bitch? HAH!.....You don't see New Zealand or Canada jumping in with Australia do you? We're all commonwealth nations.

John Howard is Bush's Bitch, if anyone.

BTW - To all Australians involved, good luck and godspeed:

Now, this is the creed of the ANZAC men,
The men with the hearts of gold,
What we won from the foe, by the steel and the gun,
By the steel and the gun we hold.
From the heights afar, and the sky above,
There may come the hail of death,
But we yield no yard of the ground we won,
Till the last man yields his breath.

We are few --- who should have been many here,
And our ranks are thinning fast,
But, by the Christ who died, for each boy who falls,
We will take toll to the last.

We are fighting now for the folks at home,
For the land from which we came,
And we are hanging on, and fighting hard,
And we are dying hard and game.

There are long quiet nights for gallant mates,
Who have fought, and fighting fell,
But for every one who has dropped his gun,
There's a fresh Hun face in Hell.

Aye, this is the creed of the ANZAC men,
The men with the hearts of gold,
What we won from the foe, by the steel and the gun,
By the steel and the gun we hold.

Oddball 03-18-2003 05:01 AM

Though that King of the Hill jokes has some relevance...lotta leg room down under.

BTW Good luck to all Australian servicemen and women who are about to go do their job.

N0V4 03-18-2003 06:35 AM

Yeah, i dont support the war, but i support the men and women who are fighting in it. Damn, they're brave.

hey trip, you ive in New Zealand dont you? Nice place. I went all over the place... Wellington... Great, great place.

And um, yeah, even though we are sending 2000+ troops, they are all 1337, and they can pwn anyone’s asses. Period. When Suddam and his whole army falls, they will be yelling at us: "wall h4xx0rs!!! AIM B0tZ!!" and we'll just say "n00bs..."

"haw haw" - Zoner.

/me is hyper right now.

This war sucks. I'm going to bed. Good night all from Australia, and New Zealand. And good mourning to all those Emerikan people out there. Where ever you are.

Yeah dream on oOo:

imported_captain_howdy 03-18-2003 07:02 AM

As John Howard said:

"have your beef with the government, have your beef with me, do not have your beef with the men and women of the Australian Defence Force."

BallisticWookie 03-18-2003 07:16 AM

I support Howard's stance. Simon Crean is gutter trash. He took a shit on the service men and women of the Australian Defence Force and none of them have any respect for that cunt anymore....thats if they ever had. Bob Brown is a sleazey little rat prick....that son of a bitch is gunning to have an SASR Trooper court marshalled for war crimes commited in East Timor...you know what those crimes were ?? Kicking the corpse of a dead miltiamen after the prick shot 2 of his men.

No one has done more for the Australian Military in the last few years than John Howard, he has given the men and women who protect our country the budget and go ahead to get the stuff which they need to operate to their fullest extent.

Granted, every political figure has their motives, but aslong as he is doing right by the men and women of our Defence Force, I will never a "beef" with him on any issue relating to Defence, ofcourse there are some other things I can think of. freak: I applaud him and his stance on this....I will be voting for him again, so long as Peter Costello is not in line for the top job.

A HUNGRY FATMAN 03-18-2003 07:57 AM

Actually they would probably rip right through, since it is the green-tip round, which can go through armor.

A HUNGRY FATMAN 03-18-2003 08:06 AM

sadam is going to go out like hitler by shooting him self in the head with a pistol in his bunker as the the alies close in on him

Innoxx 03-18-2003 08:11 AM

Oh god, the SASR.... I do not envy the Iraqis.

Zap. USMC 03-18-2003 08:46 AM
