... wtf? hes an ok kid, not joe, but not any better. hes been around for what 3 , 4 months ? out of all the regulars around here who have made it very clear theyd like to be mod, and imo would do a better job, you pick someone who has been around about as long as mr. happy. hake: i also know for a fact that ktog applied for the news guy/whatever position months ago. not only is he a modder , but a part of the bob mod team. ? im not asking to be mod. although if i did i sure as shit wouldnt be an asshole to people who have been around here since the beginning no matter how far they pushed the limit. asking the mods to be fair doesnt seem like too much ... hake:

The people JUDAS named are actually some of the respectful members of the community.

But then, you'd have to have been here awhile to know that.

The reason they didn't get it - because they dont spam the hell out of existing mods (JOE), or lobby on the forums (NOCTIS) to get the spot.

And good on them for not. Actions SHOULD speak louder than words. Too bad that dont apply here.

Actually, nevermind: you don't want someone TOO GOOD as moderator biggrin:

They made him a mod, because he stepped to the plate to be the new MMS guy. So, like Dodd, he was made a mod (Actually, I think Dodd was an admin.)

Anyways, if there ever was a vote for a new mod, I'd call on Zoner, he always calls it right down the middle man.

Sloi should be mod since his the most unbiased guy around here.

I never asked to be a mod, just to do M/M/S updates. And I only offered that because we'd gone months without a single one. Right now I'm waiting on BadScript to fix my user account for accessing the file database, and there will be one up. I didn't lobby for support for my application in the forums, I just e-mailed BadScript something like two months ago.

I never denied that, and say it outright and openly often in the IRC channel. It wasn't my decision. All I did was send one e-mail. I wasn't going to turn down the offer.

Alls I can say is congrats Notics. It is good to see BS has found someone reliable to the M/M/S update. From what I've read so far you are already being harrassed, guess it must come with the terroritory around here.
I for one will respect you as a mod, like I respect the other mods here. Don't expect me to agree with you, but I have better thinks to argue about than how some one mods.

I honestly believe that any mod should not be chosen due to post count but rather time spent on the boards and temperament.

Post count does not show someone is a good mod it just shows that they are vocal. Mods that you don't really notice too much are the mods you like more.

Dodd hardly ever posted but when he did you listened (er read) and you respected him.

I'm not particularly a trouble maker so I don't feel that I need to earn a mod's respect so I don't particularly treat them any differently.

I don't see it as much of an honour, either. I'd never accept it (for obvious reasons - I don't have the temperament and I don't have the time) and I honestly pity anyone who does, particularly those who don't have a forum start date of 31st December 1969...

I'd like to wish you good luck, but there's no luck involved. Hope your new role suits you and you enjoy it. That sounds better.
