10 question test today...nobody in the class finished...i answered 5 question....3 of which might be right....sucks.....

I was lucky to have a great teacher my senior year so Calculus and the 3 other higher math courses I took accaully made sence... somewhat... I cou;dn't tell you a thing now though...

my teacher sucks bad. all he does is read and copy notes from the book onto the chalkboard. and our book doesn't do a very good job of explaining things to us...

In my school we only have to take 3 years of Math, so I dont have to take calculus

In my 28 years of life, I have never once applied the skills I learned in calculus.

They should replace calculus with a class entitled, "Dealing with stupid ass people". It would be much more relevant.

I completely agree. My calc teacher was teh biggest hardass. He would teach and assign homework and the problems would be at a certain difficultly level. Then for some unknown reason, the tests would be at this elevated difficulty level that we had never seen before. College profs are the biggest jokes. They are so amug and arrogant inside the campus walls, but they really are out of touch with the real world. It must be a nice job.

And I hae seen calc once since college, but that was some rocket scientist using it on the discovery channel or something.

Im in pre-cal right now. Its pretty tough. Next year though we got to pick if we want calculus AP or statistics AP. I picked statistics. Supposedly its alot easier.

I don't need the calc. credit - it counts as an elective for me. Next year I'm not taking Calc 2, heh, I'm not taking any math...

lol my dad is an electrical engineer and he learned all this stuff and says to me u have to get goor grades in it but even he says what the fuck is the point of learning this? i have never used it he said and ur not going to either...but he still insists on me gettin good grades lmao

Youre huys classes are "Easy" In my school we have integrated math. It mean we have Algebra AND Geometry in the same semester same class. Since they started this the average grade dropepd from like a B to a D. Its so Hard. Id kill for just Algebra ro Just Geometry. Instead 3-4 years of This Integrated schmuck.

I believe Math is to "open" up the mind and allow critical thinking. That's what I was told, anyways...

Well, a teacher can make you or break you when it comes to math. In college, i had a good professor and when i was struggling, he had a knack for getting me to understand. I did pretty good and believe it or not, you'll use some of it if you end up in the right field.

Indeed, all my years i hated math, sucked at it. In 10th grade i had an excellent math teacher, i got a fucking 100 for the year in math...fucking MATH!. 11th Grade i got some old bitch who fell down once in awhile and couldnt teach, i dropped to a 80% and now this year i got some douche bag, and im making like an 85%. God i hate my teacher.
