Maybe I'm just not keeping up-to-date, BUT, I thought the flamethower and Stickybombs were NOT in the game?

It says this on the list of features at the official site!

quote:
Access to over 21 historically accurate World War II era weapons, including Thompson submachine guns, Mark II Frag Grenades, .50 cal mounted machine guns, flame-throwers and "sticky bombs ".

Any thoughts?

Arclight 01-12-2002 06:54 AM

Gee, I'd think if they fained abt blood--looks like the flame thrower would be out.

Must be a mistake. Read the FAQ.

Will the game feature Flamethrowers?
Maybe in future releases .

piedude 01-12-2002 07:01 AM

I'm sure it is a mistake. BUT that is one major fuck-up by EA if they arn't in the game!

EA fucks up many things, I've been getting used to that over the last few years.
How else could you explain all the problems people are having. When you use dial-up and try to play Singleplayer, chances are the game crashes because it tries to connect to the internet.

Frogy 01-12-2002 07:11 AM

Maybe they are only needed in certain areas. Like special AI parts of the game.

piedude 01-12-2002 07:15 AM

Yeah probably! Trust the AI to have all the fun!

I was hopeing to be able to put a "stickybomb" on the back of the Captain's head and watch him run around before he went KAAABOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

They ran out of time because they were too busy making the shotgun.

OK, what's a sticky bomb? C-4?? Educate me!

Graverobber 01-12-2002 07:32 AM

Flamethrowers and sticky bombs were planned when they made that description but were then cut out, it's just old.

Arclight 01-12-2002 07:37 AM

OK, but what is a sticky bomb? http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

A sticky bomb is is a bomb with tar on it so you could stick it on other things.
Virtually a sticky dynamite.

Graverobber 01-12-2002 07:56 AM

arclight you ever seen spr? they use stickybombs to take out the tanks at the end

[EC]Mjr. Winters 01-12-2002 07:58 AM

EA said that the flamethrower and sticky bombs will be added in futur expansion sets. Because they said that mohaa on pc would be a series. So flamethrowers and sticky bombs will be available eventually

Arclight 01-12-2002 08:08 AM

GR:

What's "spr"? I guess not. We had C-4 in Nam. Geez!! One question begets another http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

EA screws stuff up. F1 2001 was a disaster until the patch came out. I meant the game ran AWEFUL (5fps) on NVidia cards.

Graverobber 01-12-2002 08:44 AM

Yeah BoB was great but I only saw up to the 4th episode, and I had to get those off Kazaa since i don't got HBO, and teh DVD set isn't out yet.

Yes there are planes in MOHAA, you didn't know that?

01-12-2002 08:56 AM

no...

Graverobber 01-12-2002 09:02 AM

They've showed planes in the vids for months now, plus I believe they also had it on the site.

Comeon you gotta stay in the know!! (j/k http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif they got all the info on the official site if you don't have it)

Arclight 01-12-2002 09:06 AM

I thought there was just the one that does the airstrike?

Yeah but that vid has been out for a while.

Anyway it's zxcvnm business if he's been looking into it, if not that's perfectly fine, I'm just yearning for the game to come out and have been making obscure comments. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The half track in the SP demo has it's track blown off after an aerial attack.
