Getting CS Tomorrow
 

im getting it for free but what should i download first?im thinking about day of defeat but im kinda a n00b to the whole half life shizat so plz gimme some pointer u ub3r l337ers

Just get Half Life for like 10 bucks then DL the CS mod...or get the "retail" version off our favorite store!

i kind of want to play DoD, but im too lazy to get halflife oOo:

if ur getting it free, get DOD, because CS and DoD are the only good mods

What folder do I put the skins in after I downloaded them?

CS gets old real fast, it was a cool mod but it's been around forever and most servers just play the same maps over and over again. Also, 90% of the players now cheat, hell, it's even encouraged on the cheat servers. There are probably around 30 different cheats for the game now that are undetectable. Also, the aiming takes getting used to and is nothing like MOH. Basically, if you've ever played paintball and MOH OBJ, mix them together and you have CS.

been playing cs here since it was first in beta which was like late 1999 and early 2000...

so, since counter-strike is the worlds most played online game ever! i suggest getting just half-life retail, DUH of course cause you cant play any day of defeat or cs with out it,also the other mods that are kinda cheap and stupid..but dod and cs is the best.... just download the upgrade for hl when you get the half-life cd and then download cs mod version at http://www.fileshack.com or http://www.fileplanet.com or http://www.blueyonder.co.uk and get the dod 1.0 at http://www.blueyonder.co.uk or http://www.dodmod.com , http://www.dodhq.net

couple other sniper rifles ....they`re gay though...
usp.45 pistol ,p.228 deagle aka desert eagle or 357 magnum....
dual berrata`s five-sevon...auto shotgun "12 gauge" pump shotty "12 gauge"
and a kick ass machine gun....with a nice kevlar and hemelt, flash bang, bomb defusal kit, smoke grenade, regular grenade , so theres a lot of weapons compared to MOHAA....and the aiming is awesome on cs, you shoot once and the bullet goes exactly where you want it to go dude, no matter what gun , just depends how you shoot it and how fast!
now DOD is a different story on aiming, god you have to pull the aim down if you keep the trigger going for any automatic, but its best if you single shot and burst oOo:

took me a while to figure this out, but here goes: if you download and player model, you can rename it to anyone (ie gsg9.mdl or terror.mdl) and just overwrite the file, in counterstrike\cstrike\models\player\__________ model name here) and same goes for weapons, just dump em' in the models folder, and overwrite

As far as CS being full of cheats - yes it is. As will MOH be someday (like it isn't already).

There are GREAT CS servers, all you have to do is find the right one's. CS is good for some quick old school fun, without having to worry about FPS lag, and whatnot. Alot of the maps are mapped out nicely, and there ARE other mods out there that dont have the cheating that CS does (Natural Selection for example).

so when i get it i download the latest cs patch(1.0.0.5?) then i get the latest dod patch and im good to go?

His server is actually great, you should stop by. Its my favorite so far

good luck das reich, i hear they're is more hackers in that game than mohaa but its probaly about the same though

The game that has the most cheaters, by far, is SOCOM

well, I don't know if it's just me, but DoD, CS and HL has by far the glitchiest controls I have ever used.
