Man, this movie looks like it's going to be a friggin' HOOT!!! I don't care if you say the Jason and Freddy movies are lame. I couldn't care LESS! I, for one, am going to enjoy this flick on August 15th...I might even go twice!

I'll have to check it out later, at work. Man, but I can't agree more, I've been hearing about this movie since High School like 6 years ago, and we all thought it was a gag. Then I looked on hsx.com and saw it listed, so I knew it would be around sooner or later.

I know im gonna be sitting in the middle by myself probably crushing the seats becuase of all the horror. Who ever thought of bringing freddy and jason together should be awarded for doing this.

friday the 13th s have always been my favorite horror films ... but to be honest i think mike meyers would pwn them all ... at the same time ... even though i dont care much for the halloween series ...

Ok, here's the plot, as I understand it:

Freddy and Jason are in hell. Freddy has been rendered all but powerless because the people of Elm Street have basically forgotten about him. Those who he victimized in the past have been contained in a mental hospital and have been given drugs to prevent dreams.

Freddy devises a plan to send Jason to Elm St and start terrorizing the residents again, thus making him (Freddy) stronger.

The plan works. Jason hacks and slashes his way thru Elm St and the residents think Freddy's back. This instills the fear that Freddy needs to return to the real world/dream world.

One thing that Fred doesn't bank on is that when he returns to pick up where he left off, Jason doesn't want to stop killing and let Freddy take over. Freddy does something REALLY stupid and pisses Jason off (I think he may make fun of his mom or something). The two butt heads and hilarity ensues.

Phew. Man, I'm so stoked for this flick.

sounds pretty bad ... i havent even thought about seeing a jason flick since part 5 ...

It's not meant to be an Oscar contender, man. People don't go to these flicks to be engrossed in the plot. Actually, I think this is the most plot ANY of these movies have ever had!

Here's a checklist:

Gore: Check. Apparently there's lots of it with inventive kills.
Tits: Check. Yes, there are b00bies in this one
Jumps: Check. There should be lotsa stingers.
Humour: Check. It's Freddy's M.O...he's always been a wise-ass

I thoroughly understand why people don't like these movies. I've accepted it over the years. All I know is that they entertain the hell out of me.

I don't care if the movies makes $20 at the box office. At least, it'll be MY $20...heh heh.

I bet on Jason, Jason will rape Freddy up the ass and down the throat hands down.

When the movie companies send out their movies, they "attach" movie trailers of their other movies onto the reels.

The Matrix is a New Line movie, so they wanna promote FvJ with it.

So basicly we see the matrix we see a little preview of freddy and jason. TO THE MOVIES!!!!!

Yep, it'll be in the pre-show movie previews...hopefully, anyway.

Dang im soooooo stoked right now i think im gonna go see the Matrix Reloaded but not this week i know the movie theature is gonna be packed as hell so ill wait a week.

But, there's always been something about Jason's silent, relentless nature that appealed to me more. Freddy's wisecracks are great, but there's nothing like watching Jason portray such pure malevolence with the single head movement.

I'm interested to see how Ken Kirzinger plays Jason. From the trailer, it looks like he has it down pat. Kane Hodder revolutionized the Jason character and made it his own, but I think Kirzinger will do a fine job.

Still, it's gonna be hard to top Kane.
