DoD mod...
I just got DoD a few days ago and i love it!
I want to know if there is a server side mod for MoH that has the same weapons stats as DoD, and if not, here is my proposal: Rifle need to be more powerful in MoH, there is so much SMG and StG bullshit going on, it makes it feel like BF1942 (unrealistic), so Garand and KAR98 get 1 to 2 shot kill capability depending on the hit location SMGs could use some more recoil, they are too easy to use, so is it possible to up the recoil when moving MGs are completely off balance, BAR is rarely used and the STG is overused, so make it high recoil (and higher damage for the BAR) except when crouching Scope exits zoom after each shot of a sniper rifle, then re-zooms after reload Hopefully this mod already exists, but if someone sees it and takes interest, i have a feeling that this could really revitalize MoH MP |

Me and a bunch of players (we call ourself tactical players) are been triying to add REALISM to mohaa, unfotunately there are too many people who think realism is equal to bad gameplay, u will get nothing or few from most of the players of mohaa, basically noone want to save this game from cript. Mohaa have his days counted cos the game keep just like a Quake 3 in WW2. If people unite to add realism to this game i think it could live longer, but for the moment im just waiting for Invasion1944 of operation Flashpoint or Call of duty. PLEASE SAVE MOHAA!!!! Ive played this game for long and battle for more realistic gameplay, noone hear me and now mohaa is dying. This is a personal feeling that i must post to feel better, hope noone offend with it. I wish there was a way to add the animated hitpuff from DoD to AA...
Looks great when you unload a clip of a thompson into a corner to see all the dust and crap it sturs up. Im sure it could be done, i had the puff animation somewhere. Will have to look for it. |

I bought the retail version of Day of Defeat a few days ago and I like it a lot. It was worth the $28.66 just to shoot the M1 Carbine, Grease Gun, and other new weapons. Spearhead is getting old and boring... I don't know how people can still play Allied Assault with the lack of variety there is.

as soon as i saw the box in the store, i went to the ATM and got the cash Walker's right, it's definately worth the $30, even if the graphics are dated ~~anyone who has a good ass comp and DoD, go to pokemart.dodhq.net and dl the high-poly mod, it makes shit look a lot better The thing is that DoD has what MoH really lacks- teamwork! That was WWII- brotherhood and working together. MoH needs more than new cool effects, it needs deeper gameplay, classes and defensive positions and battles that shift back and forth. I was playing DoD today, i was an MG42 shutze, and i killed so many soldiers, but the battle just kept going, and it made things tense. That is what i like in WWII games. And i dont think MoHAA is boring, its still very intense, we just need some new clans, and breakthrough to come out now. ppl should try getting fucked up and playing if they havent yet, it makes it 50x more immersive haha thanks a lot for your condolences sh1fty, he will be missed |

its more than high poly models, its also got some new sounds, better skins, crisper textures and anims for the bullet feeds on MG's (that shit drove me crazy)

Your tactical / realism / DOD mods are easy to do, they just require tweaks to tiki files and are a server-side mod. But everyone has thier own idea of how the weapons should be, so there are literally thousands of variations. Every server runs whatever they want. On my server, when I'm not running HITP weapons, I use a mod that powers all weapons up.

yeah, but this is ACTUAL realism... most realism mods give you 3 grenades, and even on the mOHAA book thingy it says standard issues is 2.. also, realism should be based on the actual weapon, because the garand DID NOT take 3-4 shots to kill, i hope this realism mod becomes a reality, it is what i was wating for

I'd just like to see guys limping and dragging themselves when they have low health just like the bots do. Because if your trying to get more realism in the game, you need to slow down the player when he gets shot in the leg, or make him not be able to hold the gun on target if he got hit in the arms. Little shit like that adds to the overall realism.

the mod probs wont be released in a while if im doing it because it will take a lot of exeprimenting, but for sure, if i do make it with someone, or someone makes it before me, it will be on my clan server, and hopefully on the server of anyone who comes across the download. i love timur's idea about limping, its been an idea of mine since before i ever played MoH. The question is, how can that be done? IS there a .tik that lets you edit playerspeed in relation to health and hit location? Anyone who has any modding adn scripting experience, give some of these things a try to see if they are even possible. |
