The government doesn't support the people at all. All of their money goes into the military and the only exports NKorea has is military equipment. They have no economy due to this, because its a bitch to get weapons out to terrorist countries without the US getting pissed off. Communism doesn't work. Theres always someone to screw it up. This guy is just a dictator who doesn't care about his own people. He'll only feed his military so more people join and are conscripted and then before you know it, hes got nearly 1 million Army personelle and at least 800,000 avaliable for front line service.

Nothing will be done.

The International community just sits on their hands. Look at the Congo. Now that is a shit hole. They have been in some major trouble for the past 3 months and nothing is getting done. The UN says they need more troops but no one will give them. They already have 7,000 troops in the area but they won't send them in without a mandate. The UN blows.

Now this situation in NK isn't quite the same, but why should anyone give the government food to feed their people if their the ones starving them in the first place. If Bush wants a real challenge he should take out Kim Jong Il.

This sort of thing isn't new either. NK isn't going to let foreigners in its country or UN personelle or IAEA personelle look at its sites, so no one is going to help them out.

It still dosent mean N.Korea is a weak country. ALthough the population starve the high officials live like Kings and their army is twice the size of the S.Korean Army and US troops based in the peninsula. Even worse they now admitted to producing nuclear weapons.
