Hey guys, I know this may not be the best place to post this, however I know it is one of the most visited places so thats why I am posting this here. I think you guys have done an OUTSTANDING job with the City Nights Series. They have got to be the cleanest, most professionly done mods ever. I really do enjoy playing with the City Nights Series and I wanted to thank you guys for all of your hard work and dedication to this project! Most of all thank you for releasing it publically even though you are given hard times by lozers in forums that dont have a life. Thanks again you guys ROCK!

I took mine out.. even though it sould bypass the 1st I didnt want to take any chances.

I've tried it out now...
I first played with only CN2 in the folder for about 3 hours, then i inserted the CN file and played for another 7.
I didnt experienced any problems at all to be honest, it overrides the old CN file perfectly, but you still get the player skins and the map from CN...

I have experienced a lil confliction between CN and CN2. Here is the deal.....I run my own server and I run CN1 on it.....I have placed CN2 in my main and I join up in my server and start playing after about 2 mins (Sometimes less) my game either crashes or it goes straight back to my desktop. And I have experienced this over and over.......so I removed CN2 so that I have NO CN in my Main and everything worked fine........I am guessing that if you play on a server that runs CN1 and you have CN2 you get problems. Thats what I see anyways. I will look more into it for you guys but I believe thats the case here.

Thanks all the same tho! And Gen Cobra gets my gratitude.....as a fellow mapper......I know how hard it can be to map and his attention to detail is FANTASTIC! Great job bro!

Yes, because CN wasnt really a TC, it was just a reskinning of everything..
Hence, it can be seen as a regular server, and not a CN2 server...
However, if you run CN2 on your server, it will work smoothly again... freak:

Well, Cobra has informed me that he is redoing the original city nights map and will re-release it as an addon to cn2, along with other maps he has made for the mod too.

Totally awesome! Thanks for the heads up Deleto! I cannot wait to play some more of his outstanding maps. I dont know how he is able to map so fast and yet so swiftly.....He really does do a great job. Oh and Deleto, badass job on the new muzzle Flash bro, I love it! eatthis:

Actually I disagree.....I absloutetly LOVE the new HUD. It is nice and small and has a badass Green Tech Look to it. I think it is fantastic! The only thing I see that MIGHT cause a problem for some people (not me) is that they cannot read the Chat messages and the Death Messages because it is a bit smaller than before. But I happen to like it that way. Badass job dude!

Let me ask you fellas a question, ok? Have you made something before? A mod, map, or even a re-skin? I am just curious because if you have you would appreciate my thanks instead of poking fun at me. It really doesn't bother me too much that you guys like to point and laugh at me. However what does bother me is that you are making fun of someone trying to applaud a job well done. If you have ever made something before in your life you would want someone like me to applaud your work, especially if you did a mod of this magnitude. I believe in every word I have said and I am rather tired of posts such as the ones newt and Strik0r have made. If you guys have nothing to say that is related to topic, please dont bother posting....just takes more time for me to have to scroll past your silly spamm. Not kids, please grow up and stick to topic, thank you sirs.

F.Y.I. There are two pk3's in the pack....

1.cn2
2. small HUD

The cn2 pk3 contains the large HUD with normal font. green color, large compass, blah blah blah....

So take the small font pk3 out and you will be ok. It was added for people with smaller monitiors.

To the topic at hand, I have since then switched my City Nights with City Nights 2 and now both work just fine on my server. I was having compatibility problems when I was running CN1 but not anymore. So I dont know what it is or what was done but now it all works thanks!
