Yes, that's right. Me. All me. Without me, AAN wouldn't exist, or at least wouldn't exist in its current form. Yea, yea, I know - but here goes -

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when, when mappers frequented these boards, and everyone was having a grand old time - I call it PBJ (not Peanut Butter and Jelly you fucking moron. . hake: ), Pre-Bazooka_Joe, I had the smart idea to create a server where all of us could just have fun, screw around and all - RD and I tossed the idea back and forth and he eventually took the ball and started the server. It was there that such Aa.COM luminaries as Winters, Judas, ChickenBoo, Ghostrider, etc got introduced to each other and from there god knows how many clans were spawned. Including the boys of POACC, LLC, and - ahem OTD.

AAN's server popped up while AA.COM was nearing its end, and bam - there you go. A fullblown community.

The rest as they say is history. A sad, horrible horrible history.

Yea that is the BIGGEST problem with this game - most of the user maps created eclipse stock, but noone goes out to get them.

Here here. Mind you there are some well established custom servers out there that are rarely empty - it's about getting the publicity and making sure you host maps that are easy to find.

It's just as annoying to have an empty server because no one DLs the maps you run as it is to be kicked from a server that runs some obscure map that you can't find anywhere.

So that's it? That seems to be a lot of "frustration" for just some posts.

and im sure im missing a few, but those were the ones standing out. Now RD needed some cops so he taped Judas and I to watch things...and watch we did with a vigilance, upholding the law of RD and running things how he wanted it done. Now i see the aa.com history divided into dynasties if you will. We have the establishment or Stone Age. Judas, RD and I testing maps, figuring out rcon stuff server settings, etc...

Teh next phase was the Golden Age of AA.COM. Saturday night games were established, same guys fragging all the time, aa.com growing, Broken Silence, LOL V2, Titliest, rifle only nights, the pistol draws, etc...

Then comes the Decline..IMO...alot of new faces, which isnt bad (but bad for competitve SOBs like myself. Ego alert. It was so bad that when i joined the server it emptied. I had to smurf from then on oOo: )..or the new school kids if you will. The Chicken Boos, Montereys, OldGuys, Major Winters etc...At that point I moved on to stock play, had my own server to run and team as well. RD was busy as well so Judas was running the show for the most part. RD then appointed Joe an admin.... oOo: Soon after RD closed down shop and the new school kids went on to form AAN.

Now i personally dont have anything against AAN. But, Ive had more neagative experiences on their server then i had posistive (I still get kicked for doing well oOo: when i play on their server). So in the end its different strokes for different folks. But yeah ED, it was your idea, but id like to think me RD and Judas, and RD in particular really ran with it. Now all the old school guys play on the aM server and whore our TS, curse, cuss, frag and have fun. No worries about being PC, or offending anyone in the REAL aa.com camp...we have thick skin happy: flame away kiddies!!! Uncle Forge pwnz you all.......

Broken Silence and Titliest were some of the most OVERHYPED and over rated maps I have ever had the misfortune of playing. Maze was better than that crap.

What was the name of that map, that had the unchanging ALLIED and AXIS spawn points, was set in the desert, had a nice design to it - but was HUGE, had that colleseum like shit in the center. That map had some of the worst spawn camping by the. . .ahem "elite" of MOH. hake: Nice map too.

But it wasnt LOL V2 big. Nor as fun.

I disliked Titliest and Broken Silence. But they were pioneers of sorts.

As for the map you ask about, do you mean Epic by Desert Eagle?

Badscript regularly posted when things got too heavy and flame-worthy, and Von Meyer entertained all with his quest to join a clan. Dan, Just as I dont have problems when i do jump on aM, I dont recall ever kicking, or hearing about a member of LLC kicking you or any one else , just because they were doing good. Anyway the anti-cursing thing has to do w/ the fact that we lots of people w/ kids playing along side them on the server and we dont think that you need to type swear words in-game to play. I personaly have tough skin....and enjoy my stock play lssons every time I get on aM. Anyway frag on.

And the fall of OLD started sometime around when RD and his server THUGS had a great idea to allow team-killing. Playing THUNDER, and not being able to move without getting mowed down by OLD (who chastised US for hating on HIS fun of tking. . .o_0), and the horrible spiral that occured -

I have never been on when Forge was on the server, and thus haven't seen him kicked. I don't know who is doing it but next time check if I'm on and as long as you aren't smurfing you won't get kicked. Until then I'M the only one who will be accused of cheating on AAN ;)

You created me.....and my clan...nein!

Like I said above, I give you the credit for getting things rolling w/ Rd. It was good times. But not LLC or AAN. Toward the end, Boo and I decided to do our own thing...LLC DOA was gone, and I really was only playing on aa.com, DOA and Maybe DK666's server. It just seemed the next logical thing to do.
