Anyone play Desert Combat?
 

It's a mod for BF1942 if you don't know. I just bought BF1942 on Ebay and can't wait to start playing it. Heard it was a great game..

No not yet, I've been in Hidden & Dangerous II mode for the past couple of months.

Its a really good mod, so professional. I like stock bf1942 better though.

DC makes BF1942 worth playing. Get the latest mod patch and have fun. I would stay away from the choppers until you find a group of professional players.

desert combat = meh too much air combat & to teamwork.
silent heros= hard to find a server but fucking wicked when you do, il go get some screenshots of the teamwork i see on sh servers. i found it so amazing i had to take screenshots
eve of destruction= 1/2 & 1/2, 1/2 as much team work as SH but right inbetween SH & DC as far as realism.

are you kidding. learn to fly them right away. dont mind dieing a lot. or be a good gunner on one and you will be indespencible...blah. have fun. the old versions lagged. Im sure the newers ones wont.

I cant fly those choppers for shit, so I just play door gunner. Its fun as hell, especially on Lost city. DC seriously makes the game more fun for me.

DC is the best mod for BF..EOD coming in second. rock:

DC is awesome. The helicopter is a bit difficult to fly but once you learn it, its awesome.

Isnt the full vietnam bf1942 coming out soon ? the non mod version to buy ?

Maybe, but are you going to spend $50 on a game just for its graphics? DC's graphics are fine for me, and the two genres are almost the same with the BF1942 set. You get jets, choppers, M16s, AKs, russian vehicles, and a lot more that comes out every couple of months. EA has yet to offer that kind of routine support.

Graphics dont build a game

Its just too fun to play the game, I dont really notice the graphics. Get in that Abrams and shoot shit up.

I still play DC. I play it a few times a week. I still remember the olden days of an a-10 warthog vs a b-17 happy:

im still not sure if vietnam will be good or not. So im going to download it, try it & wait a few weeks to see what others have to say before going out & getting it.

Dc's graphics are fine. There a vast improvment over stock BF. Run higher settings and you'll see what i mean. To bad you'll all say your pc cant handle it. Not DC's fault, well a little bit there fault.

Fun mod. I'd play EOD but the chopper contols are stupid.

Forgotten hope is by far the best mod I've seen for Battlefield. When I first saw it being played at a freinds house I thought it was a new expansion or something.

Ok the only thing wrong with bf that is the base of the mod, is the gun play it feels so strange they should of made it like cs or mohaa for the gun play
but flying and in tanks its rules. Dc is great but LAGS like a B*tch they should lower the polys on those guns.

What's causing most of the lag is complex collision meshes. These are being severely optimized for the next release, and you should see a noticeable increase in performance.

dc fuct up my sound on normal bf even though i reinstalled it all.

Is the DC team thinking about letting in some bigger bombs like the daisy cutter or maybe a nuclear bomb? I want some more firecrackers.
