Merlin, Shut the fuck up........What the fuck do you know about music? Clearly nothing, if you make posts like that without any evidence to back up your point.

Merlin122 01-25-2004 03:49 AM

HAVE YOU SEEN THE SHEET MUSIC FOR ANY OF BLINK 182'S SONGS!?!?!?!?!?!?

Press the caps lock button, Plz.

Do you know why people listen to music?

TO EACH HIS OWN, Moron.

Ugghhh if you want to know what notes to play for a song, like if you want to play a song. Generally you use sheet muysic to get notes and chords.

Shows how much you fucking know

MrLevinstein 01-25-2004 04:32 AM

And that kids a mugger? He looks like hes barely out of grammar school.

Tabs are a form of sheet music for those who cant read musical notation. Theyre the same things as sheetmusic without the notes

ninty 01-25-2004 05:05 AM

Songs shouldn't be deemed good or bad based upon how complex the score is.

Just beacuse Blink 182 uses a lot of easy chords and such doesn't ake them bad.

Green day pretty much did this and they were successful.

i agree with you nintynein but when your songs get so easy little suburban white kids think they are good enough to start bands when they learn them, they should try making it a little more complex. I liked blink182's old stuff and greenday but the way they are today is just disgusting

Well compared to bands like Dream theater and Blind guardian...in terms of anything rock music, Blink 182 has no talent.

Mike Portnoy has the best control of his drum kit in the industry, and Travis of Blink 182 is good, but dones't match up to Portnoy in anyway.

It's like comparing a tribe called quest to chingy.

Pyro 01-25-2004 05:22 AM

It's all the same formula over and over again

chorus, verse, chorus, verse.

It never changes in any of this mainstream rock and i'm sick of it. Listen to Dream Theater and every song only uses an original formula to it.

Maybe no instrument playing talent is shown in any of their songs, but who the fuck are you to say who is better? For all you know, the members of Blink 182 could be fucking skilled in their craft, but because what they're currently doing earns them more money than bands like Dream Theater, they are doing that instead....

But - Who the fuck said this was about talent when playing an instrument?

You think there is no talent in making a catchy song that sells? While still maintaining ALL creative control?

I think you are in serious need of a reality check....

Sorry Merlin, but it DOESN'T look like you know what you're talking about. It never did. It actually looks like you have no argument and that you're just following along with Pyro, now that he has arrived on the thread with what LOOKS like a strong platform of points.

You have no evidence - you haven't displayed ANY evidence......Where is it?
HAH! You're SO stupid it's actually funny.
You think just because Pyro posted something that was backing you up, that you have a solid platform to play an argument?

Blindly following him isn't going to help you here.

Sorry Merlin, but it doesn't look like you know ANYTHING.....Except - How to come off as a little ignorant wanker who doesn't know FUCK about ANYTHING! Congratulations you stupid little shit talking wanker.

Evidence? All that is, is the sheet music for ONE of Blink 182's songs.

It doesn't even remotely prove your point that they have 'Zero talent.'

You're just wasting more of your own time, that could go towards actually PROVING points.

What the hell Does Hendrix have to do with anything?
If you understood music, you'd know that comparing two entirely different artists is a huge mistake.
The only thing Blink and Hendrix have in common is that they both use Guitars to make their music.

What we HAVE established, is that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, and that you should have given up long ago.

Merlin122 01-25-2004 09:37 AM

wheres your proof that we have even established ANYTHING? the conversation has swayed so many ways we have nothing to basr anything else on.

Now you're just plain making no sense. You suck at this.

I guess this is how you deal with realising you were wrong, right?

Merlin122 01-25-2004 09:48 AM

at this point trippy, you can think w/e u want. im so fucking tired anyway

Milla 01-25-2004 10:44 AM

Blink 182 ownz you, maybe not their new shit, but if you actually look up some of their lyrics that were on dude ranch you'll realize their songs are actually about something and they are songs i can relate to, thats why i like them.

RaNgeR 01-25-2004 10:49 AM

A tribe called quest is probably one of the best rap groups out there. They are simply amazing......Outkast is very good too. I dont like eminem too much, but hey. I agree with Tripper though.

Pyro 01-25-2004 01:52 PM

Blink 182 I like Adam's Song the most out of all.

You should at least know that it's easy to make music that teenage girls will buy.

The majority of people gorwing up tend to like what the mass majority likes, the stuff that people will actually show on MTV and so on.

I could say like many people don't know of or don't listen to any of the Rap Artists you mentioned Tripper before.

People are unaware of most music.

Some music is mad that flows perfectly with the music played to it and the lyrics fit it as well. The point of most mainstream music is to be catchy, get stuck in your head and I'm sure bands who don't only try to do this, make radio music basically, can make catchy music if they wanted too.

The most popular songs are usually the ones easiest to play, and that's a shame.

I know they can do it better than me, I have no musical talent. It is obvious to tell who has more musical talent when you look at certain bands on the music scene.

I still don't understand doing repetitive music when all songs follow the same formula can be considered more skillful than other stuff.

It's like here with siog making, if you do the same thing the same time over and over again, we say another person is better if his/her style stays original.
