I always liked the text. I tried to make it look like sharpie and glass, thats why the blur is there. Personal thing i guess.

Dont use the lasso. Zoom in really deep into the different parts of the picture, and erase it

Here're some ideas for text, if you're wondering. I take time on my text...usually takes the most time in the whole creation process.

Use lighting effects, drop shadows, outer glows, contrasting colours...use them, but use them wisely.

It's all personal preference, I s'pose. Just throwin' some ideas out there.

Cut it out better with eraser Take the backround, as it is, not with the red.
Copy the layer, blur that layer just tad. put ot on Lighten. Cut the picture out better, add a drop shadow.

EDIT: you have PSP, get rid of it. Get photoshop 7.0

well i really like the red and the black&white soldier so im just gonna add a border and some text.

well i fixed a lot of the blending problems. i made the 3rd layer (the little soldier) kinda light so it fits well with the background. too lazy to resave and upload it.

One of the first signs of a n00b sig is shitty source images put together, then saved as low quality over-compressed garbage. If you see JPEG artifacting, it's bad. And you better read this for good measure: http://www.r1ch.net/img-formats/

Just start over merlin, its better to rethink your methods then give it another try.

Do it in photoshop. I cant urge this enough, i was once a PSP drone. Photoshop is SOOO much better.
