Anyone going to the CPL event in Dallas? As of late they added DoD so I'm thinking of attending it. I know some of you CoD nubs have heard of it.

So your'e going to travel from Flordia to Texas to attend the "Cyberathlete Extreme World Championships"?

Team SK got over $100,000 for winning CPL, plus sponsorships.(Free Computers, Mouses, Video Cards, etc.)They've won so many tournaments and win tens of thousands of dollars each time, you guys can make fun of them all you want, but they're laughing their way all the way to the bank, all for playing a video game.

Isn't that the hardcore CS clan? I read about them in PC gamer I think. It's kind of hurting how I'm busting my ass for a lousy 7 bucks an hour were I work, and these guys are making that much and getting sponsors for a fucking video game. mad:

That job would actually suck..think about it..you would have to do the same move over and over for hrs to see if any bugs are in a section of map...it would be boring as shit..Ive talked to people who have done it..its not like you get to sit down and just play..they have stuff they want you to test

Id do it. All day and into the next night for 10 bucks and hour and free consoles. But then again playing a game for hours on end doesn't phase me a bit.

Sure, SK is lucky....but CounterStrike takes so much skill, i know people will disagree, but play at their level and it does. It takes intelligence, skill, strategy, and coordination. I mean...hundreds of thousands of dollars is sorta overdoing it....but still...its society these days....
