Zen, those two fucking own man. Where did you get those pics? i've been trying to find something like those, flowers, nature things, and google has failed me. Could you help Arch out?

I have had the most success finding good nature photos by stubling apon Joe-Bobs trip to New England.

Often people post there trip pictures for familly to see.

I have also found a few amature photo compitions that have yeilded some pretty impressive pictures.

Of corse these are roalty free. I hate sites that want you to pay for there pictures.....

Anyway , most that I download do not have the high color quality that I want .

So I add anywhere from 25% - 45% Contrast and alter the brightness and color until I have what I want.

As far as specific sites. I have not found any that had more than 2 or 3 pictures worth downloading.

So I just move around from link to link until I find what I want.

Now these are large because I edit the photo before I put it in my sig. I then do not save changes , so these are the exact pictures I used to begin with.

With ALL these pics I have added some Hue , Contrast , and Brightness to create an image that comes off the screen at you.

I will start with the moon:

Now with this I shrunk it and cropped. I then filled the space to right with Black

Now as you can see , these are AWSOME pictures as they are. I really have not done much to change them. I use ALOT of contrast and Hue changes , and I crop them in such a way as to capture the harmony of what will become my sig.

The rest is just a matter of ballance and simplicity.

zen, you're sigs are awesome. i've always loved simple sigs, if you've seen my past ones..those are really nice, i just like to play around with the brightness/contrast. levels, and curves of pics, usually turns out nice.
