FREAKS of Nature

(I changed the name and im posting some of the freak animals im finding) No pr0n please. eek:
Ok before you go flipping out on thinking this isn't real take a look at the photos first. I can't show you all of them because some of them are just too graphic for this site but I can show you the hunter that took it down.

Some of you, I am sure, have seen this so spare me the "old news bs" because I want others to see it that haven't here.

I was getting a radiator at an autoparts store when I was looking around at all the hot chicks on the walls I came across this picture.

Upon further research I found these and others.

The big grizzly measured 10' 6" from nose to tail and weighed in at an estimated 1,000 to 1,200 pounds — unusually large for the vicinity, says the USDA Forest Service, but not quite a world record, nor even an Alaskan record. It was killed on October 14, 2001 by U.S. Air Force Airman Theodore Winnen on Hinchinbrook Island, Prince William Sound. The photos were taken by his hunting partner, Staff Sgt. James Urban. Both were stationed at Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks at the time.

Though the bear was within 10 yards of the hunters' position and moving towards them when he fired the first shot, Winnen says, it did not charge them. "I don't know if the wind was in our favor or what," he told the Anchorage Daily News. "We were dressed in camouflage. He might not have seen us." Winnen's weapon was a 338-caliber Winchester Magnum, not a 7mm semi-automatic as alleged. The first bullet pierced the bear's brain but left it standing; five more in the chest finally brought it down.

Apparently the story of this airman from Alaska named Ted is Urban Legend or myth until Ted came forward.

Where I live there are few grizzlys but there are some. I have mostly blackbears where I live. But it's well known to hunters that know about bears that some older grizzlys will feed on humans if hungry enough. Although most bears are scared of humans and feel threaten by them larger grizzs will not back down at all and sometimes will see a human as a "good meal".

Some people dismiss that as urban legend. I don't. I've seen animals where I live that 2 times the size they are supposed to be. Like moose you could drive a small car under.

Yeah, they were hunting some other kind of animal at the time but that big as fucker came along. If it were up to me and it was me or the bear. The bear is dead. Its a good thing there were enough people with guns there to kill it. Because from the looks of that biggun he could take quite a few shots.

i dont care what you guys say, i think its wrong to hunt grizzlies...i mean, if he killed it in self defense sure, but i HIGHLY doubt it was actually charging at him. a grizzly that big would scare anyone, and the chances of the hunter making a shot in the brain and then in the chest 5 times WHILE the bear is charging at him is slim to none. hell....i wouldnt want someone hunting me then showing me off as a trophy...

Grizzlies are known to be pretty aggressive. I have had a black bear act like he wanted to climb the tree my deer stand and I were in. Let me tell you, if he had actually pulled himself off the ground, he would have been dead when he touched it again. Black bears are little things compared to grizzlies, and Ive seen the damage they can do to things you would think they could scratch. Unbelievably strong.

Personally, I wouldnt hunt bear as I dont care to hunt predators, but I would shoot one that threatened me in a heartbeat.

Pyro 02-14-2004 02:27 PM

That Grizzly was a living creature cry:

Actually I kinda agree in a way. I really wish this bear would have lived. Like been tranqued by some ranger. I wonder how many darts it would take. Not to be some freak show somewhere but a lot could have been learned from its size and many years of life.

There is an abundance of bears where i live. They are hunted and killed all the time and more are born. The population of bears here is so much that its common to see them run across the road. I personally don't hunt. Grizzlies are awesome animals. I'm gonna find the pic of the worlds largest. I hope its out there. Cause if there are bears bigger than that fucker, I wanna see.

General Cobra 02-14-2004 02:45 PM

All I can find is fucking rabbits and moose. Where's the damn biggest bear? Guinness doesn't have anything on their site. It sucks.

That bear never tasted slim fast what a shame the_finger:

Unknown_Sniper 02-14-2004 05:25 PM

that bear acutally cahrged the guy and he unloaded his rifle into it. If I remember right he hit it like 8-10 times with a high caliber hunting round and it was still alive but slowly dies so he shit it once more to kill it.

Short Hand 02-14-2004 05:32 PM
