Some guys at the BBC took a load of spy cameras/radars and fitted them to insects/animals and made a TV series about it. 8)


A new TV programme sets new standards in wildlife filmmaking, say its makers, by using spy technology to infiltrate the private lives of animals.

The show, called Animal Camera, makes use of innovative camera, sound, tracking and surveillance technology.

Series highlights include footage from tiny miniature cameras strapped to birds and a sequence that solves the mystery of what baboons do at night.

The series has been made by the BBC's Natural History Unit in Bristol.

In the first programme, a miniature camera takes viewers on board a golden eagle as it soars through the air.

Animal Camera is on Wednesdays at 2030 GMT on BBC One.

Probably won't be able to get it in USA unless you have cable & can get Brit channels, although I'm sure the CIA have a bunch of spy cameras left over from the cold war that you could strap to a buffalo or something. biggrin:

The best part is going to be the PETA person who says "This is an invasion of animal privacy!" That way they get the title "Smacktard of the Year"

I watched that episode and the second was just on then, it was about forest animals and bees communicattion, they strapped trackers and stuff to bees to pick up there vibrates.

I sometimes marvel at the fact we can put tiny cameras on bugs, but can't cure cancer....
