Canadians lose at their own game to my hometown

http://sports.tbo.com/sports/MGAMBWAT5RD.html

Now I will admit hardly anyone in Tampa cares about hockey, and untill we started winning they couldnt even give the tickets away....and even now that they are winning we still can't sell out the st. pete time forum...that just shows how little interest there is in in hockey in my town, but we still beat the mapple leafs!!! I know all of the canadians here are big leaf fans and I'm just posting this to rub in the fact that my small southern city beat toronto's hockey team! hahahahaha rock: rock:

Mr.Buttocks 02-28-2004 01:18 PM

what is the big deal here. canadians suck at everything. imwithstupid:

Machette 02-28-2004 01:24 PM

OMFG OMFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I DON'T GIVE A SHIT FAG

ninty 02-28-2004 01:27 PM

There was probably more leaf fans at the game than lightning fans, but anyway, it doens't matter because Canada didn't lose to the lightning, Toronto lost to the lightning. Canada has 5 other teams.

In addition to that, pretty much all the playlers who play for the lightning are Canadian, so your essentially watching Canadians play Canadians.

14 out of 24 players on the Lightning including Lecavalier and St. Louis who are your best players are Canadian and 3 are American. So I don't think we lost.

TonyMontana 02-28-2004 01:29 PM

yeah, put belfour and roberts back into the line up then we'll see what the score is loser. TB beat a 3rd string goalie, they should feel proud

You're so close to being banned, it's not even funny.

Zoner 02-28-2004 01:37 PM

Brad Richards: 2G, 1A
From Murray Harbour, PEI Canada...not Tampa Bay, dink.

And don't ever think that Canada = Toronto mad:

I missed this. if you think i'm a leaf fan, you've got another thing coming.

All canadians are not leaf fans.

Zoner 02-28-2004 01:44 PM

Definitely not, ninty. I may not like the Flames, but I respect you for keeping the loyalty in Canada.

Zoner 02-28-2004 01:47 PM

4 of the 5 top scorers are Canadians

Martin St. Louis
Brad Richards
Cory Stillman
Vincent Lecavalier

TonyMontana 02-28-2004 01:49 PM

i can't wait for another dumbass response from eames

ninty 02-28-2004 01:54 PM

In the past when the Oilers make it t the playoffs and Calgary didn't I cheered for the Oil. Best series was always Edmonton Dallas. I loved watching those games.

But this year its our turn baby! When the Flames make the playoffs its going to be nuts in Calgary. GO FLAMES GO!

Injuries are a part of the game. Im glad the Red Wings have 3 good goalies. I would like nothing more than to see the Red Wings v the Maplelosers for the Stanley Cup!

Zoner 02-28-2004 01:58 PM

3 good goalies, but only one who's 100% healthy. Think Cujo can carry the team to the Cup?

Jeezus, now that I think of it, I could carry that team to the Cup and I can't even friggin' SKATE!

yeah, they are part of the game, but when your leading goal scorer (before last night) and #1 goalie is out, its gonna be a long haul

ninty 02-28-2004 02:02 PM

ROLF

Hasek is a dip shit. He goes ahead and says he out for the rest of the season. i think he should go back to czech. and start hitting rollerhockey players with his stick again.

I liked Joseph when he was in Edmonton, then he went to Toronto and then he acted like a dick to them because he wanted to win a cup, so I don't like him.

The one goalie I do like is Legacy. I think he could be a #1 goalie with any team. I hope Hasek and CuJo don't come back for the rest of the season so if the Wings win yet again, Legacy will have been the goalie.

I think Legacy is doin great, and he's had to put up with all this shit, but he comes to his games, plays 110% and gets wins. Good Hockey Player

Im not going to even waste my time on this retarded biget. oOo:

KTOG 02-28-2004 02:30 PM

Not only are you a racist, but a nationalist stereotyper.

Sicilian_Summers 02-28-2004 02:41 PM

The Bruins are doing pretty well this year. I think this years team is more geared to play the big boys in the EC like Ottowa and New Jersey.

Horrible loss to the Canadiens (Montreal, not the entire nationality biggrin: ) last night though, we let the puck slip through our zone and BAM! Win for Montreal and a lost point. mwah:

All I know is the Lightening went from being the worst team in the nhl to beating one of the best canadian teams in the nhl, and no one here in tampa even cares about hockey...its just funny.

the players care, thats all that matters

ninty 02-28-2004 03:09 PM

So then why do you care about hockey?

It sucks that some teams do so well and no one goes to see them. I would love to live in a city where the team was consistently good. Calgary hasn't been in the playoffs for 7 years. You know what they say, 8th times a charm.

Didn't the bruins do a lot better last year? I think their in 9th right now just out of a playoff spot. I like boston and I hope they make it in.

bruins are in like 5th or 6th, just a few behind toronto, i think u might be thinking about buffalo, whos in 9th

EDIT: 5th, Tied with Toronto

ninty 02-28-2004 03:16 PM

Oh yeah. I must have been think of Buffalo. That was weird. Boston has 80 points already. Thats awesome. The east has a lot of teams at the top, and the west has a lot of teams trying to get in at the bottom.

It should be.

Tampa Bay is on of the least injured teams in the league playing a team using a rookie goaltender.

I'm surprized it wasn't a bigger margin with all the giveaways. Tampa Bay is amazing, but I don't think they would of won if we had Belfour in net. A couple of goals were very iffy.

I can bet you right now that Toronto will get further in the playoffs than the cocky Senetors mark my words. And if Calgary stays in the playoff race, I can see them turning into the ducks of last season.

Oilers...sorry no hope for them at all.

TonyMontana 02-28-2004 03:17 PM

what about the canucks?

They are always a strong team in the west, naslund is just plain awesome

C H O K E

Colorado will destroy all in the west. They are a playoff team. I can't see Vancouver standing any chance vs Detriot or Colorado or San Jose in the playoffs.

Airborne Butters 02-28-2004 03:27 PM

Where in Tampa are you at? I live down the coast farther in Fort Myers/Cape Coral, but I go up to Tampa every once in a while. Was up there just recently for my freinds band recording and we were in the distract with like 1,000+ porno places.

Yup, the Bruins recently went on a 7 game winning streak too. biggrin:

It's tough for me to root for the Original Six teams (espically because of the deep rivalries), but I always like to see the original six and Canadian teams in the playoffs.
