Wanna tattoo someone? a request
 

Hi,

Here is my story, I will be going to Montreal this summer (3 months from now). Every year I go I try to go to the same person to get a tattoo done. I have an idea for the tattoo that I want to get but I need some help. Here is where you guys, your photoshop skills and imagination come in. I would like to get a tattoo that will be kind of a tribute to the Veterans of WW2. I would like you to come up with some ideas for me, I lack imagination and good ideas lol. The tattoo can't be too big as it would be too expensive and too time comsuming, I don't want to spend my whole vacation sitting in a tattoo artists chair. I would like something interesting and at first glance you know what it is. I was thinking of a M1 with a helmet on top to signify an allied soldiers grave but that seems too plain to me. I was also thinking I would like it to have the "Big Four" allied flags on it (U.S., Britian, Russia and Canada - I'm from Canada so the Canadian flag would have to be on it) I hope I can count on you guys for some good ideas. My wife and I will pick our favorites and after I get the work done I'll take a picture and post it for all to see. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and if you can help me out I would be extremely thankful. So here is a way for your artwork to be tattoed on someone for life!!!!! Thanks everyone. Thanks for the idea Fluffy_Bunny but I already have a Canadian Flag tattoo. I'm looking for something that has a little more relation to WW2.

Thats a good start, keep up the good work. But I'm looking for something that is a tribute to all the vets. I don't like having to explain my tats to anyone, one look and the person should have an idea what it is.

Fluffy...that's first class that is...if V.A.C. doesn't get that image permanently inked onto his body he'd be making a huge fucken mistake.

prolly better to have some words with it too under the pic like "Least We Forget" or "All Gave Some, Some Gave All" or mebbe "They Shall Not Grow Old"

Thanks, I prefer my 2nd one... You really think thats good? Not the art, but the idea happy: I was considering working as a graphic designer doing this sorta stuff. It seems like good fun designing game logos etc. You get to use your imagination.

Here is an idea that I have for the tat I want but I wouldn't know how to go about doing it. A soldier in full gear kneeling at a grave of a fallen comrade, the grave marker being a M1 with a helmet on top, all in silhouette. I don't know if this is possible in Photoshop but I would like to see it tried. Thanks again everyone for helping me out!

Just to add to that...I think LOVE and HATE on the fingers, a hinge on the inner elbow, a cobwebb on the
outer elbow, tear drops under an eye and prison quality Disney characters wherever could be nice also.

Personally, I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo, but if I were to get one, it would have to be something that I would never change my opinion on or ever lose interest in.

Get something symbolizing where you come from. For example, I'd get a Newfoundland flag tattooed over my heart. Something ingrained into who you are as a person.

Choose wisely.

Thanks Zoner. This will be my third tat. I always make sure that any work I get done I will be happy to have it when I'm old and wrinkled.

I like the general concept of Pick Axe's picture. You could also have it as a side view, with the soldier kneeling like you said and then have the M1/helmet grave marker.

The problem is that no matter what you put in it its not going to scream WW2 to the general public. You could put an M1 garand in the image but 90% of america doesnt know what that is. So you're best off just going with what you like.


As i post this i have another idea to works with this image, that i may work on later.

How to ask for a tat:
Can someone design me a tatoo with crossed m1 garands behind a stationary american flag. And can the tat have 'meant to die above' the flag, and 'born to kill' in old world english font.

Dude just make a picture of what you want in your head and imagine it then type it out. WE got some talented mothers on here they can help you but you gotta be descriptive
