they all look great. the 1,2, and 4 dont tell me much though. What i try to do when taking photos, get specific views by not just stand and take it; climb up in a three, crouch even lay down. try studie other photograher and see their techniques. This is not always needed though, sometimes all you have to do is documentate a city/house or something like it(as you basically did in 3 and 5). check out william eggleston, and his documentation called "Los Alamos". Great piece, i saw it in an art museum a couple of weeks ago.
btw, my new film is coming in a week, ill post my newer work there. the other stuff was taken a couple of months ago. |
3: had to get a self portrait, so im in that picture. i guess, after thinking about it, that i am first comparing the destruction of whats behind the machine and the machine itself, and myself to the machine... not really "TRYING" to say anything tho.
4. i guess youd have to live in the states to understand that one. 1:2 i just found that place interesting. again there is the comparison of between nature (kind of taking back what it lost when the factory was put there) and man. the first is interesting to me because of the holes ... how they form a maze into and back out of the silos. i have a bunch more ( at least 4 rolls of 36 exposure) that i havent printed yet. i probably spend at least 4 hours printing those alone and they are still not up to par. thanks for the critz kemik. |
sex?

3rd is a little iffy but they all look great, got a dark grunge look to em, reminds me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre
|
: the pole cat is my favorite out of the bunch.
here are my contact sheets if you wanna check them out. im not sure which but a coupla were taken when i was still a super nub and wasnt metering for exposure. if the subjects seem strange it was because i was suppose to be studying light / dark , shadow / shape and form. :x http://s92915907.onlinehome.us/drawing/contact1.jpg http://s92915907.onlinehome.us/drawing/contact2.jpg http://s92915907.onlinehome.us/drawing/contact3.jpg http://s92915907.onlinehome.us/drawing/contact4.jpg |

the smudge on the bottom right of this one was caused by a crease in the film when i deved it. im hoping i can clean it up in photohax or crop it out. |
