Looks like this is going to be better then a $4000 computer. 3.0 Pixel shading in the GPU, 3 3.5Ghz processors which can do 21 billion instructions per second. But, possibly no HDD.

hah so true. i dont even remember the last time i played my PS2. has to be over a year, maybe 2. its just not worth it considering pcs are just better. first person shooters on consoles SUCK. keyboard + mouse > controller

True, but i keep going back to my consoles for RPG's.

plus you have to buy games for consoles on pc you aquire them

Meh, its only like $60 over here, and the games are like $90 or something, so its actually cheaper than buying ONE new game for it.

The only console I have is a SEGA genesis... I stopped buying them after that cuz I got a PC but I still play my SEGA mostly sonic an hockey

yeah, Genesis was my last console as well; I just like PC better, and there's more war games and sci-fi games I actually liked (like Star Wars (X-Wing series, Jedi Knight series) and Wing Commander) for PC.

My Genesis fried some time ago though

Dude, Halo rocks. The controls are perfect. One thing that you get with the x-box controler is analog control. It makes so much more sense to just push the stick further up to go faster than to have to use a seperate button. But, that said, I also like my PC shooters. I just hate the out-dateability of PC's. I can't afford to keep upgrading. For some shooters, the Keyboard + mouse works better, specifically ones where you have to have a lot of functions close by, like Rainbow Six x and Jedi Knight x ect..

I really need to get jedi knight 4. the best yet, custimizable characters, equipement, l337. My first, and last console, was the dreamcast. mostly SA1 and 2 and ecco the dolphin(been playing for years, still havent beaten it)

I'd prefer originality in games that come on console than the redundant tiresome FPS games that flood the PC.

pick axe - i cant stand the controls on every controller after the N64 controller. that has to be the best one i've ever used, the way it was set up for Goldeneye was kick ass. the 2 analogs is jsut confusing. thats why keyboard and mouse are better.

you do know they have made a few pc consoles recently that play pc games kinda like plug in play type hardware works on a computer. you put the game in the console, it installs itself, and then sets itself up to the console's settings, and then plays. The games also update themselves and patch themselves everytime u play them. its pretty cool although kinda expensive.

I prefer NES, SNES and Genesis...over any next generation 3D consoles.

first thing i did w/ my xbox controller was wire it up to the pc for my old ROMS (800 roms ATM)
