All I can say is wow, I couldn't ask for a better machine.

Processor: AMD FX-53
Video: Radeon 9600 XT (got that because thats the cheapest they had, I didnt want to wait until August to get the x800 XT so I'm just going to buy that when it comes out and replace the 9600 but I still get top notch performace)
RAM: 2GB Extreme Dual Channel DDR PC-3200 SDRAM at 400MHz
Sound: Audigy 2 ZS
Motherboard: ASUS® A8V Deluxe - VIA K8T800 Pro Motherboard
HDD: 160GB - adding one 120GB HHD and another 80GB soon from my old PC

i actually am going to swap them when i get a moment, because I have to take off the cooling and put back the stock cooling on the 9800. itll take about an hour..im just kinda lazy when it comes to that or else i would have those other 2 HDD in there already

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

good job, you bought an alienware, have fun looking at the monstrous case size and watch your money go down the drain. they are WAY too overpriced. im guessing you spent at least 3k-4k on that puppy.

someones jealeos

edit: the bigger the case, the better. more rrom for Hard drives n such. also, its the same size as my other case.

TGB! 07-11-2004 11:36 PM

Lol@jealous. I have a default case with the sides exposed and non-name-brand parts inside. Its not called being jealous - its called not being a dumb-ass.

so your saying that you wouldnt want an alienware? thats great you like your case, but i love this case whether you do or do not like it. if you think it was too expesive, it might be too expensive for you but it wasnt for me. dumbass.

Jotun 07-12-2004 12:15 AM

if i recall, your family is the rich family with the ipods and stuff, right?

is tht the Auroura? if it is, it was 3k at the least. and the bigger the case is does not make it better. it has to do with cooling, sure a large case is not crammed together so things dont heat up in a central point, but a small case with a nice heatinf system can do the exact same.

WATER COOL THE INTERNET!

i wouldnt want an alienware, if i was gonna spend 3500 american i would get top of the line everything.

that could have been built for half the price

TonyMontana 07-12-2004 12:34 AM

fujimi7su 07-12-2004 01:19 AM

only newbs buy alienware

i could build that pc for a third of that price and it wouldnt take forever to ship, cost an assload, and look stupid.

but hey if you wann a burn an extra 2500 dollars whatever

anyways.. i mow lawns, im 15 and i make $18 an hour. no joke.

Jotun 07-12-2004 01:49 AM

You paid about 800$ for the FX53 when you could've just overclocked and
properly cooled an A64 3400+ for half the price. Seriously, that was almost
all profit for Alienware. What I mean is, you could have easily paid half for
the PC if you had shopped around a bit...

geRV 07-12-2004 02:22 AM

If you don;t know how to build a pc alienware, falcon and voodoo are good makes (i mean who the fuck would reccomend packard bell for a gaming pc oOo: ) . If you do however then you can usually build the same spec for far less, the whole price increase for alienware is for tech support, the custom case and basically paying for the name.

2gb of ram though oOo: Unless you're doing 3d apps or like 80 tga's open in photoshop thats just for bragging rights and has no practical application.

Whats that under the floppy drive in pic 9? Looks like either fan speed controls or usb connectors?

Machette 07-12-2004 02:22 AM

yeah whats with alien ice to wanna explain?

Fireal 07-12-2004 02:29 AM

I dont think A case, tech support are worth 2500 bucks

How in hell did he do that for 700 ? He must've had hot stuff, if you catch
my drift. If not, tell me where the **ck he shops man, because I paid
almost twice that... and I looked around. Of course, that was 3 months ago...

the hard drive was in his previous computer, and he didnt buy a monitor. but he did have a Logitech MX510 and Senheissers (sp?) included in the 700 bucks. he got really good deals at http://www.zipzoomfly.com
