i prefer movies. they're more action packed then books, but you can learn more with books.

Good books are fine, but the problem is most suck.

so you read for ever only to find out you wasted all that time.

movies you only waste 1-3hrs

oh btw ive seen very few book-turned-movies that are better than the book

examples of book>movie - all stephen king, black hawk down.

Proteus 07-22-2004 04:29 PM

I'm an american so what the hell do you think?

Hawke 07-22-2004 05:12 PM

books are great, but to make a scene where it actually shows the tension or emotion that the book is going for is not a easy task either, but if i had to choose, id choose movie b/c im lazy

yes but then you have to return them and if you're late then you pay. And I have never returned a book on time.

Buy a parrot.

Madmartagen 07-22-2004 10:17 PM

depends, books are more detailed and movies generally deviate from the original story. if you are asking which would i rather do, read a book or see a movie I would see a movie. but if you are comparing a book and a movie based on a book, i would rather read the book first then see the movie afterwards, only to be disappointed by what i have just said oOo:

I just like a good epic story. Books are usually long enough to where you can get that, but movies generally are too short. Unless you have a long set of movies, like Star Wars.

SoLiDUS 07-23-2004 12:20 AM

Depends on the subject matter: I want to read my psychology, math and
philosophy while I prefer watching drama, action and suspense/sci-fi. It's
all about the subject...

intrestedviewer 07-23-2004 12:59 AM

well i do say i enjoy books because of the detail and imagination, but being how lazy i am, id have to go with movies and hope for the best.

CoMaToSe 07-23-2004 06:16 AM

OMFG MOVIES! THEYVE ROTTED MY VISUAL IMAGINATION. I AM NOW TOTALLY DEPENDANT ON MOVIES AND TV FOR ENTERTAINMENT! BASTARDS!!!! cry: cry: cry:
